I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, with 29 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families in medical centers, community agencies, and private practice. I have worked across both outpatient and inpatient settings and have been internationally registered in Play Therapy since 2000.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and bring a multicultural perspective to my work. Throughout my career, I have developed and contributed to programs serving individuals and families facing trauma, displacement, parenting challenges, and significant life transitions.
My approach is compassionate, practical, individualized, and systemic. I recognize that each person is unique, while also understanding that we do not live in isolation. Our well-being, challenges, and possibilities for growth are deeply connected to the relationships, families, communities, workplaces, and other groups and systems of which we are a part.
I draw from Humanistic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, systemic, and other integrative approaches, adapting my work to each person and their circumstances. I support clients navigating anxiety, grief, stress, self-esteem, relationships, parenting, women's issues, and major life transitions.
I believe that each person has an inherent capacity for growth and change. My role is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can gain clarity, reconnect with your strengths, understand the patterns and relationships that influence your life, and develop practical tools for meaningful and lasting change.
Dealing with life struggles can be overwhelming and at times it can be exhausting. Life stressors and impactful situations can greatly affect our mental well-being and as a result, affect our physical health in the process. Having the necessary and proper tools to work through those issues are essential to better one's life. By providing you with a compassionate and nonjudgmental space, I can help you feel safe and provide the support you need as you explore your inner self and work toward healing and growth. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy models to help individuals change the view of their struggles to obtain favorable changes. Changing your thought process can help you realize and understand you have power in your hands to make great changes and in turn obtain more desirable results.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, whether you’re managing anxiety, navigating a major life transition, struggling in relationships, or simply feeling stuck. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, grief, ADHD, autism, and life transitions. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as both a teacher and school counselor, giving me a unique understanding of the emotional and academic challenges that children, teens, parents, and young adults experience.
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard without judgment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Together we’ll identify what’s keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, and develop tools that create lasting change. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques, always tailoring treatment to your individual needs.
Whether you’re looking for support during a difficult season or hoping to create lasting personal growth, I’d be honored to help.

Hello, I'm Mario, and I'm here to help you navigate the challenges you're facing, whether it's anxiety, grief, depression, or any other mental health concern. I believe that everyone has the strength within them to overcome their struggles, and my role is to support you in discovering and harnessing that strength. As Lao Tzu wisely said, “He who conquers others is strong; he who conquers himself is mighty!” This philosophy is at the heart of my counseling approach.
Hi there, I am Carlos.
Do you feel pulled in a million directions, unable to fit it all in? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work and mental health? Do you find it difficult to make time for yourself to heal?
I help people to effectively navigate through different life challenges. Together, we can get you back on track to living a healthier life. While most counselors have degrees in counseling, my degree is in Clinical Psychology. This means that I also specialize in human development, health, clinical issues, social behavior, and cognitive processes.
Whether you're dealing with overwhelming relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. It takes courage to seek assistance with addressing personal issues and taking the first steps towards making a change. If you are ready to take that first step, I am here to support and assist you.
Hi, I'm Melisa, a licensed professional counselor, and I'm skilled in cultivating strong, lasting relationships. As a Christian therapist, my approach is compassionate, collaborative, integrative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Together, we’ll create a safe space where you can explore what’s beneath the surface, uncover your strengths, and learn tools to foster emotional balance and resilience. Whether you’re coping with loss, healing from painful experiences, or striving for a deeper connection within, you don’t have to go through this alone. Reaching out for support is a courageous first step toward change. I’d be honored to walk with you on your journey toward a more peaceful, authentic, and fulfilling life.
I work with high-functioning adults who look like they have it together and are quietly running on empty — people whose competence has become the thing they hide behind. If you hold yourself to standards nobody else could meet, if your worth feels like something you have to earn, if you can't rest without guilt, we'll likely work well together.
My foundation is TEAM-CBT, an evidence-based approach I hold Level 3 Advanced certification in through the Feeling Good Institute, and I train regularly with the Beck Institute. It gives our work real structure and proven tools. But symptoms usually rest on something older — beliefs about what you have to be in order to be worth something, patterns in how you relate, things you've learned to think your way around instead of feel. So we don't stop at coping strategies. We work toward what's underneath.
I see clients virtually across Virginia, Florida, and Texas.

Utilizing evidence-based techniques and interventions tailored to each client's unique circumstances can help facilitate growth, healing, and positive change.
Hello, I am Dr. Mario Kirk. Are you struggling with worry, sadness, fatigue, lack of motivation or grief? Are you having relationship/family problems or maybe work difficulties? I have over 20 years of experience in helping individuals to overcome these same problems. I look forward to helping you as well.

I am a dedicated and compassionate licensed professional counselor who is committed to improving mental health outcomes for individuals, couples, and families. I have provided services and evidence-based treatment interventions for mental health, behavioral, and substance abuse concerns across all age groups and within various organizations.
I understand that life can be challenging, and knowing and understanding how to navigate the difficult times in our lives can seem overwhelming and may look different for each of us.
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey built on trust, authenticity, and compassion. As a therapist, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where children, teens, and families feel safe to express themselves, explore difficult emotions, and develop meaningful tools for growth. My goal is to meet each client where they are while recognizing and honoring their unique strengths, experiences, and resilience.
I view behavior as communication and believe that every emotion and response serves a purpose. Rather than focusing solely on eliminating behaviors or symptoms, I work to understand the underlying experiences, unmet needs, and patterns contributing to a client's challenges. Together, we identify practical strategies that promote emotional regulation, healthier relationships, increased confidence, and lasting change.
I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, attachment concerns, family conflict, life transitions, and challenges at school or home. I recognize that growth often occurs when the entire family feels supported, so I value collaborating with parents and caregivers throughout the therapeutic process. By providing education, encouragement, and practical tools, I help families strengthen communication, deepen connection, and navigate challenges together.
My therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe every individual has the capacity for healing and growth when they feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether supporting a child learning to manage big emotions, a teenager navigating identity or anxiety, or a family adjusting to significant life changes, I am committed to providing evidence-based care tailored to each client's unique needs. My hope is that every client leaves therapy with greater resilience, deeper self-understanding, stronger relationships, and the confidence to navigate life's challenges long after our work together has ended.
My name is Julie Mouton,LCSW. I am passionate about helping my clients to reach their goals and get back on track. I enjoy helping my clients to feel better by providing support and helping them to see things from different perspectives. I love what I do and helping my clients to get good results!

Together, we'll move beyond simply managing symptoms toward building resilience, confidence, and a life that aligns with your values. My goal is to help you rise, renew, and reclaim the life you deserve.

My clients learn to overcome issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma; poor self-worth; relationship struggles; and many other challenges in their lives. I have expertise working with couples and families in conflict, or who are struggling with communication. I am Level II trained in the Gottman Method, and utilize this extensively with couples. My clients report successes such as trauma recovery; anxiety and depression reduction; managing existential and identity issues; gaining peace of mind; reducing stress; and controlling anger. I have counseled in mental health, addiction treatment, and criminal justice settings. I have a private practice in south Florida (family-options.com), where I supervise master's level mental health counseling and psychology trainees. In addition to Florida, I am licensed as a psychologist in California, Texas, Arizona and Iowa, and am a PSYPACT credentialed clinician, having obtained an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) from the PSYPACT Commission, which also allows me to serve clients via telehealth in most US states. I also teach graduate-level courses in ethics, disaster and trauma response, abnormal behavior, community counseling, and criminal behavior, and I mentor graduate dissertation students in forensic psychology.
With over 25 years of experience as a counselor, mentor, and coach, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside clients from all walks of life. From supporting traumatized child soldiers in Liberia to helping newlyweds in the United States rebuild connection, each person I’ve worked with has shaped me into the clinician I am today.
I work with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and family conflict. My deepest passion is helping people step into the fullest, healthiest version of themselves. There is nothing more meaningful to me than watching someone release long held wounds, rewrite old narratives, and reclaim the life they were meant to live.
My therapeutic style blends the warmth and unconditional positive regard of Client Centered Therapy with the practical, results oriented tools of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe therapy should create real change, not just conversation. You can expect a collaborative, active process — one where you’re supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow. I often provide homework between session assignments so you can continue making progress outside the therapy room. No one wants to stay stuck longer than they have to.
I’m proud of you for taking this step toward a better life. Change can feel intimidating, but it can also be exciting, empowering, and deeply rewarding.
I look forward to walking this journey with you.
Hi, I’m Romy, a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Sana Sana Counseling, PLLC. As a first-generation college graduate and someone who was the first in my family to navigate the college experience, I understand the pressure that can come with balancing family expectations, identity, education, and building a life of your own.
I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who believes therapy should feel like a space where you can show up as your whole self, without judgment or having to explain every part of who you are. I especially enjoy working with Latinx/Latina(o)/Hispanic clients, people of color, first-generation college students and professionals, and anyone navigating the complexities of culture, family, relationships, and identity.
My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and rooted in understanding how our past experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others. I have experience supporting clients through grief and loss, trauma, relational and attachment concerns, anxiety and depression, college and academic stress, and major life transitions.
Whether you’re working through something painful from the past, feeling stuck in the present, or simply trying to figure out what comes next, my goal is to help you feel understood, build awareness, and develop tools that support the life and relationships you want. If you want a therapist who "just gets it," look no further and book today. I look forward to working with you.
Nobody comes to therapy because they need someone to tell them to “think positive.” They come because they’re tired. Tired of anxiety calling the shots. Tired of repeating the same relationship patterns. Tired of carrying things they were never meant to carry alone.
Life is complicated enough. Understanding yourself shouldn’t be. My job is to help you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface and give you practical tools you can actually use long after our sessions end.
No two people are the same, so no two sessions are either. We focus on what you need most that day while never losing sight of where you’re trying to go. Some days we’ll process. Some days I’ll challenge you. Some days we’ll laugh because life has a weird sense of humor. Every session has one goal: helping you move forward.
If you’re looking for a therapist who’s engaged, honest, down-to-earth, and willing to have real conversations, I think you’ll feel right at home here.

I'm a licensed professional counselor in Texas. I would primarily with individual clients age 16 and above. I am a widow helping people who are dealing with the loss of a loved one. I also work with people experiencing domestic violence or with a history of domestic violence. If you have experienced trauma, recent or a long time ago, or if you are dealing with anxiety/depression, or difficult relationship with a partner, family, co-workers, friends, etc., we can work on this together.
The human experience is not something that always works based on logic. Our brains are wonderful tools that can occasionally get stuck in a survival mode that leaves us feeling helpless and terrified. We can become stuck logical loops, anxious cycles, helpless before the fear of the unknown, or in a dark depression that stops us from continuing our previous goals and fun hobbies. Our past can be a reason for this. Sometimes it might be recent events at just the wrong time. It can even be a combination of small things that seemed to always shift never going away.
My philosophy of treatment is to teach my clients how mind and body work so that they can make their choice in how they choose to live and interact with others. I am trained in EMDR, hypnosis, and IFS and apply all in working with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression and for pain management from physical illness.
A person's mind is like a garden, cultivated or left to it's own devices it will always grow. When carefully tended it is a thing of beauty, but if left alone it is a mess of weeds. In understanding the thoughts and beliefs you have about the world and how you can shape them, you can learn to thrive. With a new perspective you can change everything.
