Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters from Wayland Baptist University and have been practicing for 8 years. I help adults with a variety of issues. I specialize in helping bariatric patients before and after weight loss surgery. In my free time, you will find me crafting or playing video games while simultaneously listening to audiobooks or hanging out with my family.
In the first session, we will take time to get to know one another. Then we will discuss what lead you to seek counseling and what you hope to gain from coming. This will help me to develop a treatment plan to guide our work together.
After working with patients over the last few years, I have been able to create a plan that sets patients up for success in their weight loss surgery journey. I have also been able to incorporate an amazing curriculum to help children and teens learn to identify their emotions and be able to learn to cope with anxiety.
As a bariatric patient I love helping clients that are preparing for and after weight loss surgery and those needing help with weight management.
I utilize some techniques to help clients let go of worries, fears, and unforgiveness.
As a believer, I offer Christian based counseling if it is requested by the client. However, I never push my beliefs on anyone.
I use this method to teach clients the power of our thoughts and mindset.
My goal is to customize therapy and make it unique to the client.
I believe that focusing on the positive helps one to work through the negative.
