New to Grow
I am Sherilyn Allen, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. My services are provided through virtual office accessibility, only. My office hours are typically M and Th 10AM Central Time - 4PM Central Time. I am accepting clients 18-yrs old and above. I provide therapy services to individuals. My therapeutic philosophy centers on creating a safe and trusting environment where you can achieve wholeness through healing in all aspects of your life. I believe that a compassionate, empathetic, and supportive counseling environment is essential for effective therapy. I take an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual client. This flexibility allows me to provide the most effective treatment for you. My specialties include: pastoral counseling, military/veterans, women's issues, coping with grief and loss, relationship issues, and managing depression, stress, emotional regulation and anxiety. I also focus on helping clients with motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and setting healthy boundaries. Whether you're dealing with a specific issue or seeking overall personal growth, I am here to support, encourage, and empower you. Working with me means you'll find a partner in your journey towards healing and personal development. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and valued. Together, we will work towards your goals, fostering resilience and inner strength.
Our initial session will include discussing your needs and goals. I will provide you with my initial thoughts and plan of actions regarding your concerns. I will provide you the opportunity to inquire as to any specific inputs, questions or concerns you may have.
I can not desire more for my clients than they desire for themselves, so mutual open communication, trust, vulnerability and desire to achieve the set goals are imperative. Forming a partnership with my clients is an important task for achieving client's personal goals.
My dream client includes military service members/veterans and adults looking for a therapist to partner with them on their journey to wholeness. I strive to create a safe place within our therapeutic process where the client feels heard, understood and valued. I desire to work with individuals who are results oriented, willing to put in the work and are ready to thrive in life's obstacles.
By blending evidence-based psychological frameworks with biblical principles and spiritual disciplines, I incorporate Christian counseling into my practice.
