Hey there, my name is Monica Govindarajan M.S.,LPC and I graduated from Texas A&M University – Commerce where I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a trauma model therapist and my approach to counseling is holistic, personalized, and collaborative. Every individual is unique, what works for one may not work for another – through understanding, open communication, and perspective taking I work to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to feel comfortable in being yourself. A little about me: Coming from an Indian cultural background, I am a culturally competent counselor and enjoy working with the BIPOC community and am an ally with the LGBTQ+ community. I value authenticity, music, art, and enjoy spending time in nature with my dog. I also love learning about cultures and new languages. Languages I speak: English, Tamil, Hindi
I take a collaborative approach to therapy where I will work to help you achieve your goals. I work to provide a safe and warm environment that allows you to feel comfortable and conducive to growth and change. Change is hard, and I will work to help gently challenge you and help identify unhelpful patterns that get in the way of you becoming the version of yourself you want to be.

I am an inclusive therapist and work with individuals from any cultural background, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
