Are you struggling in your daily life to manage intrusive thoughts or to keep yourself feeling "happy"? Are you struggling in your relationships to feel like you're "enough" or to feel like you're appreciated? Do you often wish you had someone to talk to about some of the things you're experiencing to figure out a way to "fix" things you're unhappy with? Hello, My name is Jacqueline Adams (she/her). I have worked with people working on problems related to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and PTSD (among other diagnoses). I seek to help empower people to feel like they can address their concerns as well as to develop hope and optimism that things can improve. I work with clients to develop interventions they can use in day-to-day life to help them manage anxiety/depression or other difficulties they experience.

Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and Ohio with over 20 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. My passion is helping individuals who have experienced domestic abuse, trauma, and emotional pain find healing, regain their sense of purpose, and reconnect with their “WHY.” I specialize in supporting clients struggling with symptoms such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, low self-worth, mistrust, and hopelessness. Many of the individuals I work with face challenges in toxic or unhealthy relationships—whether personal or professional—and together we focus on breaking free from these cycles to rediscover inner strength, confidence, and direction. My approach is grounded in the belief that your story has power. I have had the privilege of guiding clients not only through their healing process but also toward sharing their stories—some have even published books that inspire others to seek help and begin their own healing journeys. Working with me, you will find a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can process your pain, explore your strengths, and transform trauma into resilience. I tailor treatment plans to your unique needs and honor you as the expert of your own story. While I may not always have every answer, I will stand beside you as you uncover your own path forward. My goal is to help you heal, re-energize, and embrace your life story with confidence and strength. Together, we can transform emotional pain into empowerment and help you live with renewed purpose and clarity of your “WHY.”

Hello, I'm Adam. Do you feel that your past or present internal and external experiences are holding you back from experiencing what you truly want to feel in your life? Do you feel that you will never be able to live the life you want to live if you continue to let your feelings and thoughts be the narrator of your life? If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, the therapy approach I use may be what you need. You may not see it now, but you demonstrate the courage, compassion, and ability to move forward in your life even with the most difficult challenges that life has or is currently bringing to you. You could live the life you want to live and gain the ability to write out the rest of your life the way you want. I will empower and help guide you to be "psychologically flexible". I incorporate modalities such as Acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-informed approaches to help give you the opportunity to win the struggles that you have with yourself every day. Whether that be past or present trauma experiences, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, self-esteem issues, ADHD, personality disorders, OCD, or relationship issues. Together, we can identify and explore what it is that is causing you psychological pain and learn what skills/strategies will help provide you with the ability to not let life struggles/stressors cause you distress.

Have you been wondering if your current challenges are due to past traumatic life events? Do you struggle in relationships? If so, I may be the Therapist for you. I specialize in trauma therapy for teenagers and adults. Many people often think trauma is only caused by violent crimes, acts of physical abuse, or natural disasters. They may also think because trauma happened a long time ago, it does not affect them in the present. These are a few of the myths about trauma. There are many types of traumas such as the sudden or unexpected death of a loved one, bullying, retaliation in the workplace, neglect from parents, infidelity, intimate partner violence, the witnessing of domestic violence and more. If you or your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, or life stressors, therapy with me can help with positive changes to strengthen self-esteem and confidence. I am trained in EMDR and other trauma therapy approaches. My years of professional experience as a teacher and counselor, along with my lived experiences as a Black person allow me to provide empathetic regard while helping clients from multicultural backgrounds.

I look forward to three things: meeting you, supporting you on your mental health journey, and eventually helping you feel ready to move on from therapy. While I can't promise or guarantee specific outcomes, I want you to know that I am fully committed to serving as both your therapist and accountability partner. Before starting my career as a social worker, I’ve held positions in behavioral health and rehabilitation services, building on my undergraduate studies in Administration of Justice. My primary focus was on children and adolescents facing behavioral challenges, during which I made home and school visits to work directly with kids, their families, and teachers. These experiences provided me with an honest understanding of the challenges they face and helped me learn early signs of behavioral difficulties and targeted intervention strategies. Over 16 years in behavioral and mental health—including eight years as a social worker in the emergency department—I witnessed firsthand the urgent needs of individuals in crisis. Working closely with first responders, including paramedics and police officers, not only sharpened my crisis intervention skills but also positioned me to support clients facing challenges beyond just immediate emergencies. I have been truly fortunate to serve in dual roles: one as a hospital social worker coordinating patient referrals and another as a therapist providing care outside of the hospital setting.

The greatest skill in life: Asking for help. The most successful people have a team to assist in their decision making and managing priorities. I want to be on your team. Fun Fact: I am big on the team mentality because I referee basketball. Refereeing requires an unbiased point of view and thick skin. I cast no judgment and I am ready to listen to the good, the bad, and the ugly. I am here for you! Therapy is a powerful tool during any change of life circumstance because it can be uncomfortable and confusing. This discomfort could surface some negative coping skills. My role is to advocate for your needs, help identify the stressors, and guide you to the best changes necessary to challenge yourself during this trying time. Working in the drug and alcohol field for 10+ years has provided me with the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life relearning how to operate in the world without previous bad habits (substances, codependency, eating disorders). Trauma was usually the running theme for most people in addiction. I am experienced with working with clients with PTSD to process and overcome the trauma. I am very flexible if you do not see something available in my schedule feel free to reach out and ask because we can most likely make something work out. *Disclaimer: I cannot take evening appointments until after the New Year. I apologize but do have a slot on Saturday to accommodate. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you do think we would be a great fit & I will see what kind of flexibility we can schedule. thaaanks!!

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 22 years of experience. I really enjoy helping people navigate the challenges of changing and maintaining roles in life---exploring young adulthood, how to maintain your own identity as a parent, how to create a life worth living in whatever stage you are in. I feel like I am very open, non judgmental, eager to learn, empathetic and understanding. And funny! I am a gender affirming therapist. I am an ally in the LGB and TNC Communities, always keeping my eyes and ears open to find ways to improve my allyship. The current political climate is traumatic and oppressive to members of these Communities. I want to create space in session to discuss how that may be affecting you or retraumatizing you. I am also a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. I am comfortable providing documentation for medical transition. I am very comfortable with working with those who use self harm as a coping mechanism--there is no shame or expectation you must stop when you engage in therapy. I'm fine with talking about suicide, whether it's your own personal experience of trying to find a life worth living, your experience of supporting someone who lives with suicide in their life, or grief around experiences of suicide. I do not believe inpatient hospitalization is an effective treatment for those experiencing suicide and do everything I can as a therapist to keep people out of the hospital when in suicidal crisis. I do believe therapy is political. I am social justice focused, continuing to do my own anti-racism work. I believe in Health at Every Size. I believe that our environment and what we experience in life has a profound affect on us and must be discussed in therapy.

Deeply passionate about social justice and facilitating and guiding positive change and development in the lives of others, I am thrilled to connect with you as you begin your journey inward. Healing is truly the risk of showing up for yourself and your resistance to the temptation to go back to unsilenced needs, numbing out, disconnection, and erasure. As a Black, queer, non-binary, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Board Certified Diplomate (BCD) in Clinical Social Work, and Certified Sexuality Educator (CSE) with over 15 years of wide-ranging interdisciplinary experience in healing-centered and trauma-informed clinical practice, research, education, and servant leadership, I look forward to tailoring my approach to meet your needs and help you reach your goals.

By engaging in therapy you’ll experience growth toward living your life free of intrusive thinking. I’m Susan Shipley, a clinical psychologist and I work with kids and adults. We will develop solutions that fit the situation through collaboration. You’ll move on from baffling situations, negative relationships, and often use ineffective coping. I've experiences working with people bothered by anxiety, anorexia, phobias, panic attacks, OCD behavior, and intrusive thoughts. Addiction and recovery are areas of my expertise. I'm a school psychologist who knows about learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, developmental delays, affect of education. Occasionally life challenges meet us at a particularly vulnerable time, and I work with people to adjust to life’s changes: grief, job loss, and alcohol and drug dependents and their family. I'm an artist and a trained art therapist. I found, art making often speaks with more feeling and force than words alone. We will incorporate art if you choose. CBT works in a collaborative manner between the therapist and the client. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self-approach, addressing your needs. I also integrate mindfulness, yoga, and art to help you develop a stronger relationship with others and most importantly yourself. You have found a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

Life has a way of throwing us curveballs, and it can be quite the rollercoaster. Sometimes, it's downright overwhelming and even a bit scary. But taking this first step to acknowledge that you are hurting or in need of support, well, that's courageous. In a world where seeking help isn't always easy, the welcoming and friendly ear I have to offer may be the support you are looking for. I am passionate about validating your experiences, encouraging you to open up, and helping challenge the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that might be holding you back. It could be the weight of school, stress from work or home, relationship drama, turning to substances as a coping mechanism, or simply navigating the twists and turns of life. And, you know what? It's totally okay to need someone to chat with, someone who'll listen without judgment and with a ton of compassion. I've worked with people of all ages and use a mix of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), reality therapy, and motivational interviewing. This is a safe space where I encourage you to share your thoughts. I'll laugh with you, be your shoulder to lean on during tough times, and cheer you on every step of the way!
