New to Grow
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals struggling with mood and behavioral issues. I enjoy helping people of all racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, and gender and/or sexual identity backgrounds navigate life's trials and transitions. I work with adolescents (age 13 and older) and adults who are willing to change their emotions, thinking, and behaviors that are problematic for them. I work to help my clients learn to empower themselves and acquire the coping skills necessary to not only survive their challenges, but thrive as well.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, I will answer any questions you have and gather relevant information about you that will help to know during our work together. We will establish the therapy goals you would like to work on, and discuss a plan to work on them. You can also expect to learn about the therapy that I use, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and how it will benefit you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach to therapy is collaborative. This means that we are a team and work together. I provide a warmth and compassion that helps my clients feel safe and connected. It is truly an honor to serve my clients, which I take seriously. I understand the strength that it takes to seek help, and I honor that by providing communication that is clear and direct. I respect all of my clients and their hardships and life experiences, and I work hard to deliver therapy results that will benefit them their whole lives.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am the best fit for individuals willing to change and put in the work necessary to promote this change. Many of my clients are struggling with everything from completing daily tasks, to navigating relationships, to healing from various forms of trauma.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have over 20 years of experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients learn to identify, monitor, and change their desired negative emotional, thought, and behavioral patterns.
