I believe healing begins with intention, presence, and a good dose of courage. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll likely find me hiking through the woods with my two rescue dogs or throwing elbows in a Muay Thai gym. Nature, movement, and mindfulness are my anchors, and I bring that same grounded energy into a therapy session. Inspired by Viktor Frankl, “A man with a why can endure any how,” I aim to help individuals reconnect with their “why” in a world that often pulls us in every direction but inward. Life is messy, fast, and full of distractions. It’s easy to lose sight of who we are and what we need. As your therapist, I can do nothing to take away your pain; however, I vow to sit with you to endure it. I promise to do my best to assist you forthrightly, uncovering and fostering lasting resilience. I’ll offer a safe, compassionate space where we can work collaboratively to explore your story, uncover your strengths, and chart a course forward. The hardest part is getting started, so why not give it a shot? Come sit down, talk with me, and see if we can't get somewhere better than where we started.

Hi, I’m Shannon, and I’m really glad you’re here. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported from the start. I work with individuals who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what’s next in their lives. Many individuals come to me for support with anxiety, depression, and life transitions, whether that’s navigating changes in relationships, career paths, identity, or overall direction. I also support children with challenges related to school, self-esteem, ADHD, and anxiety, helping them build confidence, coping skills, and emotional awareness in a supportive and age-appropriate way. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I often use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be holding you back and develop tools you can use in your everyday life to manage stress, build confidence, and move forward with intention. I believe therapy should not only help you feel better, but also give you skills that last beyond our sessions. Whether you’re working through a difficult period or simply looking for more direction and clarity, I’m here to support you in a way that feels approachable, grounded, and tailored to your needs. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’m here to help.

Do you feel un-help-able? Having spent ten years in community mental health, I have worked with people from all walks of life, with all different needs, and feel comfortable talking with most people about most things. My name is Jennifer Bailey, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Drama Therapist. I help clients identify and pursue the goals that lead to a life filled with meaning, pride, and contentment. Now, you may be wondering: “What exactly is a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT)?” Simply put, it means I integrate elements of theater and creative expression into the therapeutic process. With me, you have options. You might choose a traditional talk-therapy session to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals. Or, if words don’t feel like enough, you might try something more experiential—writing, movement, role-play, or even reimagining and practicing conversations that keep replaying in your mind. Talk therapy is a powerful tool for growth, but sometimes it takes more than words to truly process what’s happening inside. That’s where creativity can open new doors. Whether through conversation, movement, sound, or artistic expression, I provide a space where you can choose what feels most healing and helpful. I would be honored to support you—whether that’s working toward personal goals, processing difficult emotions, or making positive and lasting changes in your life.

In and out of the therapy room, I show up as an authentic, warm, and grounded human being. Clients often describe my presence as a balance of steady calm and active engagement. I listen with deep curiosity and without a shred of judgment, creating a sanctuary where you can drop your guard. I balance gentle validation with honest feedback. I will kindly challenge you when necessary to help you grow. I do not believe therapy has to be cold or clinical. We will laugh, celebrate your wins, and navigate heavy emotions together. I view you as the ultimate expert on your own life. We operate as equal partners in your healing journey. My clinical framework is flexible and integrative. I reject one-size-fits-all treatments, drawing instead from multiple evidence-based modalities to treat the whole person. My approach to therapy is shaped by a deep respect for the human experience and the resilience it requires to navigate modern life.

I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to struggle internally and question your own worth. I spent years learning how to care for the person I saw in the mirror instead of criticizing them. That journey taught me compassion, resilience, and the importance of feeling truly understood — and it’s what drives my work helping others discover their own strength and value.

If you’ve ever had the quiet thought, “Something just isn’t right,” you’re not alone—and it’s worth paying attention to. I provide a supportive, compassionate space where you can begin to explore those feelings without judgment. My work centers individuals navigating anxiety, depression, mood-related challenges, relationship concerns, and the lasting impact of trauma. I often work with people who have been “the strong one” for others—deep feelers, caregivers, and those who find themselves stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, codependency, or difficulty trusting themselves. Many of my clients are unpacking experiences related to abandonment, rejection, identity concerns, or emotional overwhelm. I also support neurodivergent individuals who are seeking greater understanding of themselves and more effective ways to regulate their emotions and experiences. My approach is warm, intentional, and grounded in the belief that healing does not have to feel cold or clinical. Therapy with me is a collaborative process where we move at your pace, creating space for reflection, emotional processing, and practical growth. Together, we will explore your experiences, challenge unhelpful patterns, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect you with a version of yourself that feels authentic and steady. Whether you are new to therapy or returning to deepen your work, I meet you where you are—with care, curiosity, and respect for your journey.

Welcome! I'm Leigh. I know many people are working to do their best while balancing burnout, anxiety, and the feeling that “the world is on fire.” I work with you to build sustainable changes, and a life that includes not only surviving, but finding moments of joy, confidence, and acceptance of who you are and how your brain works. I work to make my clients feel supported and heard, and focus on your experiences, thoughts, and feelings. The goal is always to help you understand how your brain works best, whether that is learning how to navigate ADHD, anxiety, depression, and/or lack of motivation, and develop concrete steps to take action towards a life with joy, confidence and being unapologetically yourself.

As a therapist, I provide a compassionate and supportive space for women, college students, and healthcare professionals who are struggling with OCD, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, perfectionism, and stress-related concerns. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to manage intrusive thoughts, emotional exhaustion, and the pressure to constantly meet expectations while trying to care for yourself and others. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each client’s unique experiences and goals. I strive to help clients build confidence, develop healthier coping strategies, and feel more empowered in their daily lives. Through therapy, clients can learn to manage anxiety more effectively, strengthen their sense of self-worth, and create meaningful, lasting change that supports both emotional well-being and personal growth.

“You don’t have to do this alone”. Hi, I’m Johnna, and I’m so glad you’re here. I work with people who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply not like themselves—and are ready for something to change. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, past trauma, depression, or life transitions, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, more in control, and more connected to yourself. In our work together, you’ll find a space that’s supportive, nonjudgmental, and focused on what you need. I use a mix of effective approaches like EMDR, CBT, and to help you move through what’s holding you back and toward the life you want. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start—just a willingness to take the first step. I’m here to walk that path with you so, let’s get started and schedule a session with me asap. Recommended Reading: Somatic Healing by J. Emberly – Johnna recommends this book to anyone interested in the mind-body connection, whether you are working with her or exploring it on your own. The book and accompanying workbook is available to purchase on Amazon.

I am taking new folks on but I DO NOT have evening hours available at this time! anything from 3:00pm to closing is booked for several months. I am an art therapist and LPCC-S (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - Supervisor). I have been working in the mental health and addiction world for over 20 years. I have had the pleasure of joining forces with children from the age of 3, to children the age of 87. I come from a family that has a long line of veterans and first responders. I have a strong passion for supporting our veterans and first responders but am open to partnering with anyone wanting assistance in life. I welcome any in person sessions as I am very much an empath and thrive when I can feel each person’s emotions in person. I own my own practice, Freedom Wellness Center LLC, in Canal Fulton, Ohio. The link to my website is at the bottom of this page. If you have Medicaid insurance, you must contact me first to schedule an appointment with me. I have had a high amount of people not showing for their appointments and had to put a hold on all new Medicaid referrals until I can speak to you in person first to ensure you are serious about attending your appointments.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Ohio. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Ohio from Cincinnati to Cleveland! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Ohio.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, ADHD, is filtering therapists in Ohio that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
