Hi, I’m Emay Wessner, a licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in working with veterans and individuals who have experienced trauma, helping them process difficult experiences and move toward healing. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth—I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, respected, and supported.
I’m trained in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). These tools give us structure when it’s helpful, but I always tailor treatment to your unique needs and pace. Whether you’re feeling stuck in past experiences, navigating a life transition, or wanting to strengthen your relationships, we’ll work together to build skills, resilience, and confidence.
At the heart of my work is the belief that change is possible, and that you don’t have to go through it alone. My goal is to create a safe space where you can share openly, gain insight, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who works with individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD, and the pressure of being high-functioning while feeling overwhelmed internally. Many of my clients are capable, thoughtful people who hold themselves to very high standards but find themselves stuck in cycles of overthinking, perfectionism, or burnout. In therapy, I help clients better understand how their minds work, develop practical tools for managing stress and focus, and build a more compassionate relationship with themselves. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, confident, and able to move forward in ways that align with their values.

I believe emotional honesty is at the heart of any healthy relationship and to model that here is my truth, I did not set out to become a trauma or addiction therapist. In my early years, I wanted to be a cop, actress, or a marine biologist. However, throughout my childhood, I was always drawn to go deep in my relationships. Often being told as a child, I was too deep, or too sensitive. My first therapist in college helped me reframe that narrative, “you experience life deeply”, she said. Born and raised in Charlotte, NC I made my way to the mountains of Western NC just as soon as I could leave home. My first stop was in Boone, NC where I studied Psychology at Appalachian State University and found its teachings inspiring, useful, and fascinating. As for landing in Asheville, that was destiny. I was only intending to be here for one summer and that was 15 years ago. Destined to create a life better than what I had known, I set out to become the person for others that I needed during many of my life struggles, learning to love and embrace all parts of myself and helping others to do the same. I am a person who is eternally optimistic, hopeful, and dedicated to making this world better than I found it. Recovery happens and it is found in community, connection, and through vulnerability, safety, and compassion.

I am a LCMHC (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor) with the state of North Carolina. I have a background working with various ages and demographics in a variety of settings. This includes children aged 6+ to pre-teens, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I have worked in inpatient hospital settings, assisted with Intensive In-Home services for at-risk youth and their families, as well as with clients in traditional office-based environments providing outpatient therapy. My clinical expertise and the most frequent concerns that I help clients with are anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger management, relationship issues, family issues, and phase of life concerns. I tend to naturally gravitate toward adolescents who are struggling with navigating their lives, however, I enjoy working with all individuals regardless of age or background since life is a struggle for all of us. What's been happening? My name is Erin, I am a licensed clinical social worker currently based in North Carolina. I received my Masters from Fordham University in New York, where I grew up. I have been working in the field for several years and have experience in different settings and practices. I have recently started the journey of working for myself and provide therapy and life coaching.
I am a mental health therapist (LCSW) based in North Carolina with over 10 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic counseling. Life can feel overwhelming when work responsibilities, family dynamics, spiritual concerns, and parenthood intersect. When emotions begin to feel like an ongoing rollercoaster, therapy can offer grounding, clarity, and meaningful direction. Care is rooted in trauma-informed practice and focuses on helping individuals navigate depression, crises, self-esteem challenges, and major life transitions in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.
I help high-functioning adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or constantly “on.” On the outside, things may look fine—career, responsibilities, relationships—but internally, you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, burnout, or self-doubt that won’t turn off.
My clinical background includes training in fast-paced, high-expectation environments where effective, evidence-based care was essential. I use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based strategies to help you understand patterns, build practical skills, and create meaningful change.
I began my clinical work as a Behavioral Health Officer in the U.S. Army, where I worked in high-stress operational settings. While that experience gave me a strong understanding of pressure, burnout, and performance demands, my work today is focused on helping adults in all walks of life navigate similar challenges.
My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded—I aim to create a space where you can be yourself while doing real, meaningful work.
Hi, I'm Emily! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina. Hello, my name is Tristan Thomas, a dedicated mental health professional committed to guiding individuals on their journey to wellness. With a passion for helping others and years of experience in the field, I provide compassionate support and evidence-based interventions to empower individuals to overcome challenges and thrive. Let's work together to prioritize your mental well-being and achieve your goals.
Hello, I am a licensed professional therapist in North Carolina. My experience has centered on working with diverse populations, from military-affiliated, college, and community behavioral health and private practice. Working within these settings has allowed my involvement with various ages, genders, cultures, and life experiences. My theoretical orientation is Constructivism; therefore, I need to understand my client's life perspectives and how that has influenced their worldview. In working with clients, I also practice an integrated approach using constructivism, person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution-focused therapies, and others. Person-centered focuses on the client and allows the client to process feelings and thoughts in a non-judgmental environment with unconditional positive regard. Cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on the role of thinking in the process of influencing a person's feelings of well-being and how controlling thoughts can affect mental health. This approach maintains the link between emotions and behaviors in the cognitive process. The humanistic therapeutic method emphasizes the counseling relationship and the importance of quality, genuineness, positive regard, and empathy in the counseling relationship. Solution-focused therapy utilizes skills already present to help navigate current concerns, focusing on being present and checking facts on emotions and feelings that might direct reactive responses to stressors. Constructivism proves the space for cultural humility and openness to worldviews I might not have had the privilege to interact with previously.

During my career, I have worked with individuals and families in clinical outpatient settings, schools and private practice. I have specific training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, with additional certifications related to Anxiety and Teletherapy.
I hold a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My name is Ashley and I have been a therapist for 11 years now. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my pets. Therapy has a lot to do with the bond between the therapist and the client. Change really can happen if the relationship is there. Most treatment methods can be fairly applicable if you develop that relationship. If you have found that to be a struggle in the past you may of had a bad connection with your therapist.
I have spent years working with individuals and helping them through addiction, trauma, anxiety and every day troubles. Often co-occurring disorders such as codependency and depression live just under the surface and make it hard to sustain a life of meaning and purpose. When these issues are addressed, true healing is possible. I love to assist people in discovering their true self by working through their thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
My practice incorporates the behavioral sciences by utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavior therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy in order to promote emotional healing and spiritual wholeness. My goal is to provide the client with the coping skills needed to face life's challenges without turning to outside sources.
My name is Krystal Hall and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor, as well as a licensed clinical addiction specialist. I am also the owner of Joy's New Beginnings Counseling Services.
For the past ten years, I have had the pleasure of assisting individuals in obtaining a new way of life without the day-to-day experience of problematic symptoms related to their own mental health and/or substance use.
I have worked in many different roles including individual therapist, group therapist, clinical supervisor, and community advocate.
