New to Grow
Hey, I'm Tina! I've been a licensed therapist for 15 years and I have done tons of work with adolescents and adults. I have supported clients with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, self-esteem, and grief. There is no cookie-cutter approach to therapy, and I take my job of active listening and offering supportive guidance very seriously. I look forward to supporting you on your journey!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is typically longer as I use this time to learn about you, your history, and what brought you to therapy. I always tease that it feels like an interrogation, but don't worry—it's a casual conversation that provides insight into our future work together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
We are partners on this journey. We're all dealing with something and could use a safe, caring, neutral ear to help us process what we're going through. I strive to provide high-level service, respect, and professionalism with every person seeking services. The results of therapy are dependent on your goals, our dedication, and hard work.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
"Life be life'n!" How many times have you said that? I can attest to all of the times that life has, indeed, been life'n. Let me help you navigate those challenges that arise in your life. You just can't (and shouldn't have to) do it all on your own. I provide a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental virtual environment where you can be yourself and get support with those concerns that may be troubling you. The clients who are in search of a compassionate, knowledgeable, and humorous clinician are my ideal clients. Much of my work has been with clients seeking support for depression, anxiety, and typical life stressors.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I tend to use an eclectic approach, but this method is appropriate for the client looking to develop positive coping skills, reframe negative thoughts, and gain a different prospective.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Slow down! This method is used for clients who could benefit from taking a moment to get in touch with their senses.
Motivational Interviewing
Are you ready? I typically use this approach with those clients who are contemplating making some changes in their lives.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
What's the goal? Sometimes, you just need to figure things out. I help clients unpack issues and provide support for clients to reach an end goal.
