New to Grow
I most often support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. I understand that addiction is often a response to deep emotional pain, frequently connected to unresolved trauma, and I approach this work with genuine compassion and respect for the complexity of each person’s story. As a therapist, I’m friendly, dependable, compassionate, and easy to connect with, and I’m deeply invested in creating a space where you can feel supported and at ease. My focus is on helping you reconnect with a sense of internal safety, build meaningful self awareness, and develop a more caring and grounded relationship with yourself. I aim to create an environment that feels steady, encouraging, and even a little bit light when it’s helpful, one where healing, resilience, and alignment can grow. Ultimately, my goal is to help you strengthen your capacity to live with authenticity, clarity, and emotional freedom.
In our first session, the focus is on connection and creating a sense of safety. I’ll take the time to understand what you’ve been carrying and what matters most to you, listening with care so you can share at your own pace. As we work together toward your goals, I’ll offer evidence-based strategies that may support your progress. My hope is that you leave our first meeting feeling heard, supported, and confident that we can move forward in a way that feels comfortable and collaborative.
My greatest strengths lie in being dependable, empathetic, and warm, with a naturally kind and approachable presence that helps clients feel at ease. I bring a lightness and gentle sense of humor when it’s helpful, allowing the work to feel human and grounded even during difficult conversations. In my approach, I focus first on easing the symptoms or stressors that feel most overwhelming, helping you find some immediate relief. From there, I support you in building practical tools and insights that empower you to move forward confidently on your own. My aim is to blend compassion with effective, evidence-based strategies so you feel supported in the moment and equipped for lasting change.
I work especially well with adults who may not always feel motivated or hopeful but continue to show up even when things feel uncertain. I aim to offer a steady, person-centered space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll develop practical ways to cope, communicate, and move through the challenges that have been holding you back, while building your confidence, autonomy, and sense of empowerment.
I first want to know what ails the person I'm seeing. I want to know their story. I want to create a relationship with them. There's an attunement process that happens and creates the container and/or vehicle in order for the therapeutic work to occur. Then, I typically find ADHD, anxiety, and/or depression (among other symptoms) is commonly rooted (in some part) with trauma from the past. I believe EMDR, somatic work, any work that places a focus on the nervous system is beneficial in healing for this reason. EMDR is simply a tool I use a lot and feel comfortable with. I use DBT, ACT, psychodynamic (usually Jungian) modalities. Depends on what is coming up. What is presenting? The person I see takes a very active role in this. I will usher out intervention types only after consent. My relationship with the person I see is paramount, and greater than anything else.
