About me

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina. I earned my Master’s from Simmons University and have been practicing for the past 8 years. Reaching out for support takes a lot of courage and curiosity—and I want to acknowledge that just by being here, you’re already taking an important step. Life has a way of creating all kinds of transitions. Some can feel like waves of excitement and full of growth and opportunity, while others feel overwhelming, unclear, scary, or just plain hard. I work with people navigating many types of life changes, including (and not limited to): retirement, grief and loss, changes in independence, career shifts, caregiving stress, medical diagnoses, identity exploration, separation or divorce. And with those changes often come things like anxiety, depression, loneliness, or feeling disconnected from yourself. My approach is holistic, somatic informed, and person-centered. That means we’ll focus on your strengths, your body and mind, your story, and what matters most to you as we work together to bring more balance, purpose, and joy into your life. You don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to support you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first therapy session, you can anticipate a non-judgmental, collaborative, and mindful approach. We will start with brief introductions, review informed consent, and then dive into specific challenges you’re facing. We will work collaboratively to create a tailored plan with goals and develop a strategy for follow-up sessions. Confidentiality: Your privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance. I strictly adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements to ensure your information remains secure and confidential.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist with a strong commitment to helping individuals to improve their mental health and well-being. I value a strong therapeutic relationship; one filled with trust, respect, open communication, accountability, and empathy. I pride my practice in collaboration and problem-solving through creativity, flexibility, and practicality. I’m committed to ongoing learning and self-improvement: Therapy is an evolving field, and staying up to date with the latest research, techniques, and best practices is vital for providing you the best evidenced-based care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize and enjoy partnering with individuals to provide support and explore ways to improve quality of life for all through transitions such as (and not limited to) retirement, end of life, bereavement, change in independence, career exploration, caregiver stress, medical diagnosis, identity, and separation/divorce and the varied accompanying mental health symptoms (depression, anxiety, isolation, poor self-care). I offer a holistic, somatic, and person-centered approach embracing empowerment, narratives, and strengths to rebalance joy and fulfillment as life transitions.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in an integrative framework, which combines several evidence-based techniques and treatment methods to ensure that the therapy is as effective and beneficial as possible for each individual. Here's a breakdown of the few methods and tools I use and what you can expect from them. A Person-Centered approach is at the heart of my practice. I aim to create a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where you can explore your experiences, feelings, and thoughts without fear of criticism. Person-centered therapy helps you gain insight, self-acceptance, and personal growth while working at your own pace.

Somatic

I take a trauma-informed, somatic approach—meaning we’ll focus on your whole self: mind, body, and nervous system. Trauma often shows up not just in thoughts or emotions, but in the body as well. Often, our bodies hold wisdom and information that our minds haven’t fully processed—and learning to tune into that can be a powerful part of healing. Together, we’ll work at your pace to gently explore what you’re carrying, build safety and trust, and use body-based tools (like breathwork, grounding, or movement) to help you feel more regulated, empowered, and connected. We move at your pace, with deep respect for your story and your boundaries. I recognize that each person's experiences, beliefs, and emotions are influenced by their cultural background, and I am dedicated to providing inclusive therapy that respects and values these differences. I am committed to helping you navigate the intersection of culture and mental health.

Strength-Based

Each one of us has strengths, even if they're laying below the surface. We'll identify and work to empower your inherent strengths and abilities to foster resilience and effective change, together.
