New to Grow
I’m a licensed clinical social worker who works with children, adolescents, and adults, supporting individuals and families through anxiety, mood challenges, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical—I focus on helping clients build real-life skills they can use outside of sessions. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and compassion-focused therapy, and I tailor therapy to meet each person where they are. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of meaningful change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable and supported. I’ll ask questions about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’d like to work toward, but there’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to discuss. We’ll talk about your goals, strengths, and any concerns you have about therapy, and I’ll explain how I work so you know what to expect moving forward. The session is conversational and collaborative, not an interrogation or a test. If helpful, we may also identify a few initial coping strategies you can begin using right away. My goal for the first session is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and clear about next steps—and to know that therapy is a safe space where you can move at your own pace.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to balance compassion with practical, skills-based support. I help clients feel deeply understood while also giving them concrete tools they can use in their everyday lives. My approach is collaborative and flexible, meaning therapy is tailored to your needs, pace, and goals rather than a one-size-fits-all model. I specialize in working with strong emotions and high-stress situations, helping clients build emotional regulation, coping skills, and healthier patterns of thinking and behavior. I’m especially skilled at creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients who may feel guarded, overwhelmed, or unsure about therapy. I also work closely with families and caregivers to support consistency and real-world change beyond sessions. Overall, clients often share that they feel supported, empowered, and more confident in managing life’s challenges as a result of our work together.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m best positioned to work with children, adolescents, and adults who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or struggling to manage strong emotions, anxiety, depression, or the effects of past trauma. Many of my clients feel caught in cycles of stress, self-criticism, or reactive behaviors and are looking for practical tools to help them feel more grounded and in control. I work well with clients who are open to learning coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and making gradual, meaningful changes—even if they’re not sure where to start yet. I’m especially helpful for individuals and families who want a supportive, non-judgmental space to build emotional regulation, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, my goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and equipped with skills you can carry into everyday life
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a core clinical framework in my work with children, adolescents, and adults across community-based and intensive service settings. In practice, I use CBT to help clients identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to build practical skills that support emotional regulation, healthier decision-making, and improved daily functioning
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as a practical, skills-based approach to support clients who experience emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, chronic stress, and crisis behaviors. In my practice, DBT helps clients build the skills needed to manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and increase distress tolerance without engaging in harmful or maladaptive behaviors
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness-based therapy to help clients increase present-moment awareness, reduce emotional reactivity, and build stronger regulation skills. In practice, I focus on teaching clients how to notice their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment, so they can respond more intentionally rather than reacting automatically
