(She/Her)
Hi, I’m Taylor. I’m a therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, and periods of self-discovery. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their next steps — and are looking for a space where they can slow down and make sense of what they’re experiencing. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine curiosity about each person’s story. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling heard and understood, so I prioritize creating a supportive environment where clients can explore patterns, build insight, and reconnect with their strengths. I don’t offer quick fixes, but I do offer steady guidance and thoughtful partnership. The impact I hope to have in my clients’ lives is helping them feel more confident, self-aware, and empowered in their choices. Whether that means managing anxiety more effectively, navigating a major transition with greater clarity, or developing a stronger sense of identity, my goal is to support lasting growth that feels authentic and sustainable.
Your first session with me is really about getting to know you. You can expect a welcoming, relaxed space where there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s been feeling challenging, and what you hope might feel different moving forward. I’ll ask some thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, background, and goals, but our conversation will feel collaborative — not like an interrogation. You’re always welcome to ask questions, share concerns, or let me know what would help you feel most comfortable in the process. The first session isn’t about solving everything. It’s about building a foundation and beginning to create a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust and respect. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work we can do together.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the balance between depth and practicality. I value taking the time to understand the full picture — your experiences, patterns, and the beliefs that may be shaping how you see yourself and the world — while also offering tangible tools you can use in your everyday life. Therapy with me isn’t just about insight, and it isn’t just about coping skills; it’s about thoughtfully integrating both. I also place a strong emphasis on collaboration. I don’t see therapy as something being “done” to you, but as a process we move through together. Your voice, goals, and pace matter. I draw from approaches like Motivational Interviewing and other evidence-based practices to help strengthen your own internal motivation and build change that feels authentic and sustainable. In terms of results, clients often share that they leave sessions feeling clearer, more grounded, and better able to respond rather than react. Over time, many notice increased self-awareness, improved confidence in decision-making, and a stronger connection to their strengths. My goal isn’t quick fixes, but meaningful growth that continues well beyond our sessions.
My ideal client is an adult individual seeking support for concerns such as generalized anxiety, depressive symptoms, stress management, self-image challenges, and difficulties maintaining a sustainable work–life balance. I tend to work well with clients who are experiencing mild to moderate symptom severity and are motivated to engage in insight-oriented and skills-based work aimed at improving overall functioning and quality of life. Many of the individuals I work with are navigating periods of transition, feeling overwhelmed by competing demands, or struggling with internal patterns such as negative self-talk, perfectionism, or difficulty regulating stress. I value working with clients who are open to exploring their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and who are interested in making gradual, meaningful changes through consistent effort both in and outside of session. While my primary focus is on adults, I am open to working with older adolescents on a case-by-case basis when their needs align with my scope of practice and the level of care I provide. Across all cases, I aim to ensure a strong clinical fit in order to support effective treatment outcomes and a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
Other specialties
I identify as
Motivational Interviewing
It aligns closely with how I view therapy: you are the expert on your life. My role is to gently guide the conversation, highlight strengths, and help resolve ambivalence in a way that feels empowering rather than pressured. By strengthening intrinsic motivation, we’re able to build changes that feel meaningful and sustainable, rather than forced or rushed.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful behavioral change. My approach is collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented, focusing on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and other challenges, helping them build skills that can be applied both in and outside of therapy. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to gain insight, increase resilience, and make progress toward their personal goals.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify practical solutions, build on existing successes, and move toward their goals. Rather than focusing primarily on problems or past difficulties, this approach emphasizes strengths, resources, and the changes clients want to see in their lives. I work collaboratively with clients to identify achievable steps forward, recognize what is already working, and develop strategies that support meaningful progress. This goal-oriented approach can help clients build confidence, increase motivation, and create positive change in a relatively short period of time.
Strength-Based
I incorporate a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build upon their existing abilities, resilience, and personal resources. I believe that every individual possesses strengths that can serve as a foundation for growth and healing, even during difficult circumstances. Together, we identify these strengths and explore ways to apply them to current challenges, foster self-confidence, and support lasting change. My goal is to create a supportive and empowering therapeutic environment where clients feel valued, capable, and equipped to reach their personal goals.
Supportive
I incorporate Supportive Therapy to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can process challenges, express emotions, and receive encouragement during difficult times. This approach focuses on strengthening coping skills, fostering resilience, and helping clients navigate stressors while building on their existing strengths and resources. Through validation, active listening, and collaborative problem-solving, I work to help clients feel understood, supported, and empowered as they work toward their personal and emotional well-being goals.
