Hi I'm Marketa. Thank you for reaching out and considering this step. The decision to come to therapy can be scary. There are so many unknowns, especially if you have never done this before. I am here to stand and walk with you through every step of the process of change and healing- It gets better. My goal in my relationship with you is to make sure that you feel safe and comfortable enough to be yourself. I have a passion for working with children and adolescents; ages 10 to 17 with feeding and eating disorders. I welcome adults of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image concerns, anger management, and trauma. You are not alone. It gets better. I look forward to hearing from you. Let's start today.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect to have a conversation with me during the first session. This conversation will be laid back and casual. It may feel a lot like a conversation with a friend and that is intentional. I want you to feel safe and comfortable in your first session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Most of my clinical training has been in the treatment of feeding and eating disorders such as Anorexia, bulimia, and Binge Eating Disorder among others. I approach therapy from my heart rather than my head so I have a unique ability to connect and provide safety very quickly. I want you to feel safe above all else.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Most people come to therapy to try to change how they feel. CBT focuses on how feelings are linked to how you think and behave. if you can change how you think, you can change how you feel and behave. The ability to identify your thoughts is crucial for the CBT approach to be helpful.
