Hello,
My name is Kimberly. I am a heart-centered therapist who is dedicated to helping my clients to find balance and purpose in their lives. When we open ourselves to the question of "What would love have me do for myself and others?" we begin healing our hearts. When we heal our hearts, we clear out the darkness caused by trauma, limited beliefs, circumstances of birth and the stressors of post-modern living. If given the opportunity, I'd like to be a guide on your journey.
As a teaching counselor, I've worked in a variety of settings ranging from community mental health, residential settings, agencies, schools, refugee camps and private practice. I have 12 years of experience counseling teens and adults who are struggling with trauma, OCD, depression, anxiety, codependency, women’s issues, domestic violence, and more. I am also fluent in Spanish.
I utilize EMDR, ERP, DBT, Mindfulness, CBT, IFS and holistic practices to create a unique healing experience for you. If you feel drawn to who I am and what I do, please reach out and contact me.
I am a Hispanic woman, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience, and an EMDR‑certified therapist dedicated to helping individuals heal from the wounds of their past. I work with clients ages 12 to 75 and offer a compassionate, culturally sensitive space where people can feel seen, supported, and safe.
For those who desire it, I integrate biblical truth and faith‑based guidance into the therapeutic process, honoring both emotional healing and spiritual growth. Helping people has always been my passion, and I feel called to walk alongside individuals as they process trauma, rebuild their sense of self‑worth, and step into the life of peace, purpose, and wholeness that God has for them.
My approach is gentle, empowering, and rooted in the belief that healing is possible—and that you don’t have to walk through it alone.
Feeling stuck in your career, relationships, or life direction? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
I work with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful, lasting change. Using evidence-based therapeutic approaches, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, clarify what you truly want, and build realistic, achievable goals that move you forward.
Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. As you grow and your needs evolve, our work can shift with you. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, empowered, and equipped with practical tools for real-life change.
If you’re ready to move beyond feeling stuck and start creating the life you want, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
First and foremost, I am a wife and mother. I have real life experiences that can relate to people. I have been treating clients for 25 years. I use real life, practical coping skills to help clients in real life situations. I have worked in community based centers, schools and therapeutic individual settings. These experiences allow me to have a clear, rounded understanding of people and their life situations.

Hello. I'm Jewel McGowan, LPC. I have more than 25 years of experience effectively treating anxiety, depression, oppositional defiant disorder, trauma, grief, school failure and much more. I help my clients get down to the root causes of their challenges, and I empower them to break out of old patterns. Positive Psychology, CBT, and Play Therapy are just a few of the ways I treat my clients, and I've successfully helped thousands of clients reach their goals.
If you struggle with anxious attachment, people pleasing, setting boundaries, feeling triggered, anger, anxiety, depression, co-dependence, parenting issues, and ADD/ ADHD, then I want to work with you. These symptoms and attachment style are often related to each other and often related to similar childhood experiences of inconstant or abusive/neglectful caregivers. (ADD and ADHD is not cause by caregivers, however, when it goes undiagnosed in children, there is s strong correlation to symptoms described above)

Whether you’re feeling stuck in anxiety or depression; struggling with unresolved trauma; navigating grief; or facing challenges related to ADHD, low self-worth, or major life changes, know that you don’t have to face it alone.
I believe therapy should be more than just a space to talk: it should be a space to grow. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. You are the expert in your life, and I’m here to help you reconnect with your inner strengths, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.
With over five years in the field, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they’ve moved through deep pain and into lasting change. I offer a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up just as you are. Together, we’ll work toward goals that are meaningful to you; whether that’s building healthier coping skills, understanding your story, or creating more balance and connection in your life.
My style is warm, engaged, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I view therapy as a partnership rooted in trust, honesty, and hope. Healing looks different for everyone; and whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone.
If you're ready to begin your journey, I’m here to walk beside you. Let’s take that first step together.

Hello! I began my social work journey in 2006 and have been working in the mental health field since I obtained my MSW in 2008. As a clinical social worker I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of helping individuals identify and address many mental health concerns and move towards the life they most desire. I am passionate about addressing the stigma around addictions and serious mental illness and I believe the best way to begin any mental health journey of recovery is with compassion and understanding. I work from a cognitive-behavioral perspective and I use a strengths-based orientation of empowerment to work with adults and couples. I feel that we are already our best selves-we just need some help letting go of the survival skills we've taken on to get through the toughest times in our lives. I have spent several years working exclusively with homeless veterans and individuals struggling with addiction, and this has given me additional perspective and insight into the needs of some of our most vulnerable populations. I am an advocate, an accountability partner, an empath and your greatest cheerleader. I'm excited to help you rediscover your best self and to claim the life you deserve.

I'm so glad you're here! I know it takes a great amount of courage to even begin looking for help. You may be wondering if anyone will understand you and what you are going through or if there is even any hope! Well there is, and I am here to help you! Hi! I'm Brenda. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in yoga and wellness. I offer an on-line therapy office serving folks in Kentucky, New Jersey, and Michigan. The great poet Rumi wrote "out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there." That field is a space where calm, love and forgiveness exist. There is no judgement, only acceptance here. And in that soul space you are free to find those fragments of you that are lost, and begin to piece them back together.
I'm licensed in both Florida and Michigan. As a licensed clinical therapist and licensed substance abuse counselor, I have experience running very powerful substance abuse and co-occurring groups. Prior to that, I worked as a social worker in Flint, Michigan for many years as a therapist, caseworker and in crisis intervention. I've been fortunate to work with people in their homes, in the community, with their families as well as the private practice setting which have given me a much richer experience than just an of an office setting alone.

Hello potential client! You are hurting in some way if you are here reading this. Maybe you feel like you are getting more and more stressed out and just one more stressor would be too much for you to handle. Maybe you worry all the time about everything and can't stop. Maybe you are sad all the time and don't enjoy doing things that used to be fun. Maybe you are feeling helpless or hopeless about what to do. Maybe you have been through a traumatic experience or are grieving. Maybe you are thinking the way you have been using substances is causing you problems. You have tried your best to help yourself but nothing has worked the way you hoped it would. You don't know what to do but you do know you can't keep going the way you have been.
This is where I come in! I help people who are ready to change for the better! My heart is for helping hurting people and I strive to treat all of my clients with the compassion and respect I believe they deserve. The most important part of positive change in a therapeutic relationship depends on just that - the relationship between the therapist and the client. I also use a variety of resources to help my clients. These include evidence-based types of therapy, worksheets and measurements. I also offer Christian counseling to those who are interested and am also happy to work with people of other spiritual beliefs.
I offer free consultation calls so we can both decide if working together would be a good fit for both of us. I look forward to hearing from you if I sound like I would be your kind of therapist!
