Hi! I am a licensed masters level social worker (LMSW) based in Michigan. I received my Bachelor's in Social Work and Master's in Social Work degrees from Western Michigan University. I have been a therapist for 5 years. I enjoy helping individuals address feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. I have significant experience working with youth and individuals who have experienced trauma.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, clients can expect me to ensure that they are as comfortable as possible. Starting therapy can be scary, so I'll take some time to get to know them, asking about their reasons for seeking therapy, their goals, and any concerns they may have. This initial conversation helps me gain a better understanding of their situation and allows us to establish a foundation for our work together. I'll also explain my approach to therapy, including confidentiality, the therapeutic process, and what they can expect from me as their therapist. This helps to ensure that clients feel informed and empowered as we begin to work together. Depending on the client's preferences and needs, we may start exploring their presenting issues right away, or we may spend more time discussing their background and history. Throughout the session, I'll be actively listening, offering empathy and validation, and asking questions to help deepen our understanding of their experiences. By the end of the first session, clients can expect to have a clearer sense of what therapy will entail and how we'll work together to address their concerns and achieve their goals.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
As a therapist, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my ability to create a supportive and empathetic environment, my dedication to fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship with my clients. Empathy and Understanding: I strive to deeply understand my clients' experiences, emotions, and perspectives without judgment. By offering empathy and validation, I aim to create a safe space where clients feel heard, accepted, and supported. Flexibility and Adaptability: I recognize that each client is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs and preferences. Whether it's through exploring different therapeutic techniques or adapting my communication style, I'm committed to finding what works best for each client. Collaboration and Empowerment: I view therapy as a collaborative process where clients are active participants in their own growth and healing. I work alongside my clients, empowering them to explore their strengths, identify their goals, and develop strategies for positive change. Cultural Competence: I value diversity and strive to create a culturally sensitive and inclusive therapeutic environment. I continuously educate myself on different cultural perspectives and incorporate this knowledge into my practice to better serve clients from diverse backgrounds. Ethical Practice: I adhere to the highest ethical standards in my practice, prioritizing client confidentiality, autonomy, and well-being at all times. . Overall, I believe my strengths as a provider enable me to support clients on their journey toward healing, growth, and greater well-being.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
As a therapist, I'm equipped to serve a diverse range of clients with various needs, but I may be particularly well-suited to those who appreciate a thoughtful and empathetic approach. Clients who value open-mindedness, a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and a willingness to explore different perspectives may find our sessions particularly beneficial. Additionally, individuals who are motivated to engage in self-reflection and personal growth, regardless of their specific challenges or goals, are likely to find our work together rewarding. Ultimately, I strive to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace.

Her age, her training and frankly her smile. I’m 58 and a retired LCMSW, LMSW, CMW and I was looking for someone who worked with my population. And my very first session with her was fantastic. She’s warm. Very intelligent. Knows when to use humor. And as a therapist, I can tell you that can be tricky. She really knows how to connect with her clients. I would refer her to anybody with a trauma background, anxiety, depression, pretty much anything. She is the bees knees.

She is fab. Listens wonderfully. She is very confident which exudes safety in a therapeutic setting. I find it difficult being a past therapist to find a therapist that fits really well. I found she fit the minute. I saw her smile. I’m really really honored and lucky that I found her. I feel like God put her in my life and I have hope finally then I’m going to get better.
