I have dedicated my career to learning how to help individuals, couples and families heal from trauma, depression, anxiety, couples, parenting & family issues. I am an ally & I proudly provide a safe space that celebrates individuals from all lifestyles, preferences and presentations! I use EMDR, DBT, Mindfulness Based CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, ERP and Energy Tapping. I am also trained as a Mindfulness Facilitator. We can incorporate all of these types of treatment in sessions based on what you are interested in exploring as a part of your own healing journey.
Our first session together will be mostly focused on getting to know each other & discussing therapy goals. Each session is a unique experience and is adapted to what you need. I love to use all that I have learned professionally and personally in my tailor made sessions and use my years of experience to deliver efficient and effective healing techniques to my clients.
My demeanor in sessions is laid back. I am a very casual person. But I love the therapy process & I do like to challenge my clients in order to promote growth & healing.
Ideally, I would want to work with a client who is interested in treatment that is trauma informed. I use a holistic approach of looking at family dynamics, exposure to difficult events, behavior modification, and mindfulness techniques to help treat symptoms. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques to help maintain wellness. I would like to work with clients who are open to trying new methods of treatment. I am trained in EFT, or energy tapping. I am also trained in mindfulness based stress reduction, so I can help build a mindfulness practice. I also like to assign homework, if a client is interested. I like to incorporate observations, mindfulness activities and You Tube videos that can help establish a consistent wellness practice.
