Hi, my name is Jeana, and I am a master's level clinical social worker. I have two young adult daughters, a dog, and a cat. With over 25 years of experience in social work, my background includes home healthcare, hospice care, and one-on-one therapy. I've had the privilege of working virtually with clients worldwide, ranging in age from 18 to mature adults. My clients typically seek support for issues related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, family conflict, LGBTQ concerns, and diverse relationship styles. As a person of faith, I am open to working with individuals of all faiths, religions, cultures, and lifestyles. I find great joy in helping anyone willing to take the first step toward creating change in their life.
Clients often tell me that they expected their first session to be very stressful and or difficult but they are pleased to find how relaxed it was and how they feel they have a sense of direction to follow after the session as ended
My greatest strength as a clinician is knowing how to help clients to find their voice and strength to move through trials
I use CBT treatment with my clients to help them challenge thoughts that they feel are holding them back from expressing themselves or from growing into the person they desire to become. This treatment is a good short term therapy that goes to the heart of the problem/concern and by creating action steps the client is gaining control or understanding of cause/affect and seeing progress
