During our initial session, we will establish a therapeutic alliance, gather relevant information and clarify the main concerns or issues that brought you into therapy. I will explain the process of therapy, discuss confidentiality, and collaborate with you to set preliminary goals for treatment. Our initial session will help determine if we are good to work together and lay the groundwork for our future sessions.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic, which means I combine techniques and theories from various therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of my clients. This flexibility allows me to tailor treatment strategies to each individual, ensuring that their specific concerns and goals are addressed effectively. While I often integrate multiple approaches, there are instances where it is appropriate to stick with a single modality, depending on the client's specific needs. This adaptability is crucial for providing the most relevant and effective support for each person. Just to name a few, I have utilized Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamic therapies when attempting to explore the client unconscious meaning and motivations, when focusing on changing problematic behaviors, feelings, and thoughts. Cognitive therapies has been utilized when focusing on dysfunctional thinking patterns that lead to dysfunctional emotions or behaviors. Humanistic therapies are known to help improve the client capacity to make rational choices and develop to their maximum potential. By combining and adapting these therapeutic modalities, I strive to provide personalized care that supports each client's growth and well-being.
Navigating life transitions, loss, or challenges in peer and romantic relationships can be tough, and you don’t have to face it alone. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming. I would love the opportunity to see if I’m the right fit for you. Together, we will work as a team to unlock your potential for growth and change, building from the perspective you bring. Clients can expect empathy and unconditional positive regard no matter what they are experiencing.
