Welcome. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-understanding. I provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can safely explore their experiences, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful personal growth. My practice specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and self-esteem challenges. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, trauma-informed care, strengths-based therapy, and person-centered interventions to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs and goals. My goal is to empower clients to heal, build on their strengths, and create lasting positive change in their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and uncertain, and my goal is to make the first session as comfortable and welcoming as possible. During our initial appointment, we will spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. You will have the opportunity to share your concerns, current challenges, personal history, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, support systems, and goals for treatment. Together, we will explore what has been helpful in the past, identify areas you would like to address, and begin developing a plan tailored to your unique needs. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable discussing, and you are encouraged to ask questions about the therapy process at any time. The first session is also an opportunity for us to determine whether we are a good fit for working together. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. By the end of our session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process, potential treatment approaches, and the next steps toward achieving your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring compassion, authenticity, and a strong commitment to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. I believe that meaningful change begins with a trusting relationship, and I strive to help clients feel heard, respected, and understood throughout the counseling process. My strengths include building strong therapeutic connections, helping clients gain insight into patterns that may be contributing to distress, and providing practical tools that support lasting growth and healing. I balance empathy with evidence-based interventions, helping clients explore difficult emotions while developing effective coping strategies and solutions to everyday challenges. As a trauma-informed therapist, I recognize the impact that life experiences can have on emotional well-being and approach each client with sensitivity, curiosity, and respect for their unique journey. I also take a strengths-based perspective, helping clients identify their resilience, personal resources, and existing abilities to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, person-centered therapy, and other evidence-based approaches, I tailor treatment to each individual's needs. My goal is to empower clients to develop greater self-awareness, confidence, emotional balance, and the skills necessary to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults, and older adults who are seeking support with anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress management, self-esteem concerns, and emotional overwhelm. I work particularly well with individuals who are ready to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, develop healthier coping strategies,w and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, exhausted, disconnected, or impacted by difficult past experiences that continue to affect their present-day relationships, emotions, and sense of well-being. I provide a compassionate and supportive space where clients can safely explore these challenges while building practical tools to move forward with confidence. I am especially suited for individuals healing from trauma, adverse childhood experiences, grief and loss, or significant life stressors. I also enjoy working with clients who are navigating major life transitions, including career changes, relationship changes, caregiving responsibilities, and adjustments related to personal growth and identity. I use a collaborative, person-centered approach that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based interventions. Whether clients are seeking symptom relief, emotional healing, improved relationships, greater self-awareness, or increased resilience, I tailor treatment to meet their unique needs and goals. I believe that every individual possesses the capacity for growth and healing. My goal is to help clients build on their strengths, develop insight and self-compassion, and create a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with their values.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach to CBT is individualized and trauma-informed. I recognize that many thoughts and behaviors develop as adaptations to difficult experiences, and I help clients build self-awareness and self-compassion while developing healthier coping skills.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients process distressing experiences, reduce the emotional impact of traumatic memories, and move toward healing and resilience. EMDR is an evidence-based approach that helps the brain reprocess experiences that may feel "stuck," allowing individuals to experience relief from symptoms and develop healthier beliefs about themselves and their experiences.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that meaningful change occurs when individuals feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. My approach to therapy is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, which emphasizes the importance of creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly. I view each client as the expert on their own life. Rather than directing the therapeutic process, I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain insight, clarify their goals, and discover solutions that align with their values and unique experiences. I strive to build a therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, allowing clients to feel respected and empowered throughout their journey.

Strength-Based

A strengths-based perspective acknowledges that clients are the experts on their own lives. My role is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients can identify their strengths, develop confidence in their abilities, and use those strengths to navigate life's difficulties more effectively.
