New to Grow
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and you don’t have to do it alone. I work with individuals who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or going through life transitions, grief, or anxiety. My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth—I want you to feel comfortable being yourself in our space. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership, where you feel heard and understood while also gaining practical tools to move forward. Whether you’re ready to make changes or just trying to make sense of things, we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.
Starting therapy can feel a little nerve-wracking, so my goal is to make your first session as comfortable and welcoming as possible. We’ll begin by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of it. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and any goals you may have, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. This first session is also a chance for you to get a feel for me and ask any questions you might have. Together, we’ll start to explore what support might look like for you and begin building a plan that fits your needs. Most importantly, this is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my focus on solutions, strengths, and forward movement. I primarily use solution-focused therapy, which means I help clients identify what’s already working in their lives and build on those successes rather than staying stuck in problems.
I am best positioned to serve individuals who are motivated- at least one some level- to create positive change in their lives, even if they feel uncertain, stuck, or ambivalent about how to begin. I enjoy working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, grief, or difficulty managing emotions and behaviors. I prefer structured and goal-oriented work (solution focused therapy and CBT).
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Identifying negative thought patterns (e.g., “I always fail,” “Nothing will get better”) Challenging and reframing those thoughts into more realistic ones Skill-building (coping skills, emotional regulation, stress management)
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Currently working with individuals on defining realistic goals, strengths, and resources to help them achieve their goals. Encouraging small, actionable steps.
Grief Therapy
I currently help individuals process and express emotions (sadness, anger, guilt, confusion). Helping my individuals understand the grieving process which is different for everyone. Learning to help individuals adjust to life with the loss and maintain healthy connections moving forward.
Motivational Interviewing
Exploring ambivalence (“Part of me wants to change, part of me doesn’t.”) Eliciting internal motivation Drawing out your reasons for change rather than imposing advice Supporting autonomy Emphasizing that the choice to change is yours Strengthening commitment Helping you move from “maybe” to “I will”
