I believe that the stories we tell ourselves about who we are hold incredible power—and that sometimes, the most courageous thing we can do is rewrite those stories with a pen dipped in kindness. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), my work is deeply rooted in mindfulness and self-compassion frameworks. I don't view therapy as a process of 'fixing' what is broken, but rather as an invitation to meet yourself right where you are. Together, we will work to quiet the inner critic and cultivate a genuine, lasting friendship with yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Taking the first step can feel vulnerable, so our first session is a safe, unhurried space to land. We will spend time discussing the issues that brought you here, how they impact your life right now, and how they make sense in the context of your history. I’ll want to hear all about what’s going on, so I will probably have a lot of questions! We will also highlight your existing strengths, explore your goals, and look at what has (and hasn't) worked for you in the past. The ultimate goal of our work is to get you to the place where you are ready to fire me! We want you to become your own therapist, coach, and mentor—my job is simply to give you the tools to get there.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a unique blend of deep clinical expertise, intuitive insight, and unwavering warmth to our sessions. My core strength is helping clients cultivate their 'Compassionate Self'—developing an internal voice that acts as a supportive ally rather than a harsh critic. I look at your life experiences through a lens of profound curiosity and acceptance rather than judgment, helping you see the deeper context of your struggles. Clients often tell me that my presence is calming deeply grounding, and that I possess a knack for translating complex psychological concepts into warm, accessible, and deeply practical daily practices.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with individuals who are ready to shift the relationship they have with themselves. If you frequently battle a harsh inner critic, struggle with feelings of shame, or find yourself trapped in cycles of self-judgment and low self-image, you are in the right place. Navigating complex emotional landscapes can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. My ideal client is someone open to exploring these tender areas with curiosity rather than criticism, working together to build self-compassion, resilience, and a deeper sense of worth.

My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

I use compassion focused therapy to help people cultivate a strong "inner ally." Compassion focused therapy helps us to understand our patterns, increase self esteem, and help manage strong emotions. Self-compassion informed therapy helps us to focus the compassion we normally offer others on ourselves instead of automatically giving in to the "inner critic."

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is another way to help us to understand and manage strong emotions. DBT skills can help us in those "on the spot" moments of crisis as well as to support compassion and self-compassion approaches in creating a sense of inner security

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT help us to look more clearly at the thoughts that lead us down the spiral to anxiety, depression, and self- blame. We learn to identify thoughts that create unnecessary distress and to find new ways to reframe our thoughts and beliefs.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is the new "gold standard" of therapy. With mindfulness, we learn to be curious! We learn to hold ourselves, our thoughts, and our feelings more lightly.

Strength-Based

Strength-based approaches build on our existing strengths instead of always trying to "fix" what we think is wrong about ourselves.
