Khalilah is a trauma treatment specialist and focuses on the effective treatment for those that have endured sexual, physical, emotional, childhood and domestic abuse. Khalilah utilizes evidenced based psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic Theory and Family Systems Theory. However, Khalilah would consider herself to be an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means that Khalilah utilizes a variety of orientations and therapies according to the client’s individual needs.

I have a bachelor’s degree in sociology, earned at the University of Havanna. I completed a PHD in Sociology at Marthin Luther University in Halle Wittenberg, Germany, and a Master of Science in psychology with a major in Marriage and Family therapy at the Carlos Albizu University, Florida USA. I have worked in the field of mental health for over 20 years in different positions and serve different populations. I'm bilingual and provide sessions in Spanish language.
