Are you feeling OVERWHELMED or STRESSED? Thinking, “I don’t know how much more of this I can take!” Perhaps you may feel hopeless from symptoms of depression; over-the-edge and worried from symptoms of anxiety; inattentive, fidgety, or hyper-focused from symptoms of ADHD; quick-to-click from anger; a salad bowl of feelings from grief; substance use that led to a relationship or legal troubles; sorting through 50+ reasons as to why you should stay or leave an abusive relationship; or a person, place or situation has triggered a trauma memory. I get it. I understand that either of these experiences listed is a lot to manage while trying to work, relate to your spouse or partner, parent, or care for ailing parents, and the tasks can go on and on. I already think you are pretty awesome to seek assistance. So, let’s partner and get to work. I am a Master’s level, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor in Florida. My experience has included working with adults in a private practice setting since September 2015. My approach is to offer clients the support, acceptance, insight, and guidance needed to process and achieve their desired level of functioning in a safe space.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will contact you before session to send a link via text and email to complete an online biopsychosocial, complete additional consent forms and share check-in tools (e.g., feelings inventory, SUDS). First session you can expect introductions, to view your Florida ID, begin the check-in, ask questions about consent forms, then using the person-centered approach, hear your story or situation. Ask any follow-up questions from the biopsychosocial. Discuss goals and outcomes to develop a treatment plan. Closing check-in by asking if you felt heard and understood.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I particularly love to work with adult population. My strengths are working with individuals who are experiencing symptoms associated with anxiety and/or depression, people pleasing, and relationship/marital issues.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with individuals and couples who are willing to do their work by practicing the tools to bring about their desired change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Unless you are in imminent danger, you can think about your situation differently to decrease the intensity of distressing symptoms (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, grief) experienced.

Gottman method

Couples turn against or away from each other, the Gottman approach provides structured tools to practice turning towards each other again.
