New to Grow
Hi, I’m Kristina, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping people navigate anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, trauma, and addictions. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where people can process difficult emotions, develop healthier coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and centered on meeting people where they are at in their healing journey.
During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current challenges, personal history, goals, and strengths so we can begin building an approach that feels supportive and right for you. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable space where you feel heard, understood, and free from judgment. We will move at a pace that feels manageable while beginning to identify practical tools and strategies to support your emotional well-being and growth.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are building genuine therapeutic relationships and helping people feel comfortable being themselves in session. I strive to create a balance of compassion, honesty, and accountability while meeting people where they are at emotionally. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered therapy. I enjoy helping people increase emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve communication, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help people identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress. My approach focuses on increasing self-awareness, developing healthier coping strategies, and creating practical changes that support emotional well-being and everyday functioning.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help people explore change in a supportive, nonjudgmental way. This approach allows people to process ambivalence, build confidence, and identify personal motivations for growth while feeling heard and respected throughout the process.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I welcome a person-centered approach that creates a supportive and compassionate therapeutic environment where people feel heard, respected, and understood. I believe people can be the experts of their own lives, and my role is to help guide, support, and empower them as they build insight, identify strengths, and work toward meaningful change at their own pace.
Psychoeducation
I provide psychoeducation to help people better understand their emotions, behaviors, mental health symptoms, coping patterns, and relationships. I believe that increasing self-awareness and understanding can reduce shame, strengthen insight, and help people feel more empowered in their healing process.
Trauma Informed Care
I practice a trauma-informed approach to create an environment that feels emotionally safe, supportive, and empowering. I recognize how past experiences can impact emotional responses, relationships, and coping patterns, and I work to help people process experiences without judgment while building healthier ways to cope and heal.
