LCSW, 3 years of experience
New to Grow
I’m Londa Brown, LCSW and EMDR-trained therapist at Hope & Relief Counseling. I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy for adults, teens, and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can heal, build resilience, and rediscover balance and purpose in your life. I believe therapy is a collaborative process rooted in trust and empowerment. Together, we’ll explore the patterns and experiences that shape your story, develop coping tools that truly work for you, and create meaningful change that supports your emotional and mental well-being.
During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your goals, background, and current challenges. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels comfortable and tailored to your needs, ensuring you feel heard, supported, and empowered from the start.
My greatest strengths include creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported. I combine evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients gain insight, build resilience, and achieve lasting change. I’m skilled at helping clients process difficult emotions, identify strengths, and move toward healing and personal growth.
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to heal, grow, and make meaningful changes in their lives. I work best with those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or relationship challenges. Whether you’re navigating life transitions or seeking emotional balance, I provide a supportive space to build coping skills, self-awareness, and confidence.
At Hope & Relief Counseling, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts that influence emotions and behaviors. Through evidence-based techniques such as cognitive restructuring, mindfulness, and behavioral activation, I support clients in developing practical coping skills and healthier patterns of thinking. CBT is a core approach in my work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use challenges, promoting long-term emotional growth and resilience.
At Hope & Relief Counseling, I use EMDR therapy to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences and distressing memories that continue to affect their daily lives. I guide clients through the eight phases of EMDR, helping them access and reprocess stored memories to reduce emotional distress and build adaptive beliefs about themselves. This approach has been especially effective in treating trauma, anxiety, grief, and low self-esteem, allowing clients to experience meaningful emotional relief and long-term healing.
At Hope & Relief Counseling, I incorporate DBT techniques to help clients improve emotional regulation, build distress tolerance, and strengthen interpersonal effectiveness. I use DBT to support individuals who struggle with intense emotions, impulsivity, and relationship challenges. Through mindfulness and skills training, clients learn practical strategies to manage overwhelming feelings, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and create more balanced, fulfilling lives.
At Hope & Relief Counseling, I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify strengths, set achievable goals, and create practical steps toward positive change. This approach focuses on what’s working rather than what’s not, empowering clients to recognize their own resources and build solutions that align with their desired outcomes. I often integrate SFBT with other modalities to promote motivation, self-efficacy, and measurable progress in a short time frame.
At Hope & Relief Counseling, I provide grief therapy to help clients navigate the complex emotions that accompany loss. My approach offers a compassionate and supportive space to process grief, honor memories, and find meaning after loss. I integrate evidence-based techniques, including CBT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy, to help clients understand their grief journey, build resilience, and move toward emotional healing at their own pace.
