Welcome, my name is Rhiannon B. Griggs and I have received a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, where I specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma-focus therapy. My academic journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of the intricacies of mental health, and I continue to stay abreast of the latest research and therapeutic techniques.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will start with a brief introduction which will help the client feel welcome, comfortable, and safe. Next, we will discuss expectations, the pros/cons of any previous experience with therapy, and client's history. Thirdly, I will start building alliance and help the client see if I am good fit. Then I will hear the client's story, so they can feel understood and collaborate a treatment plan. Lastly, I will answer any questions, and schedule a follow-up session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am guided by the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and positive change. My mission is to facilitate that journey by fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic environment, where individuals can discover their strengths and unlock their full potential.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with various populations, including veterans, victims of incarceration, survivors of domestic violence, and to individuals struggling with addictions. With a diverse background in both clinical and community settings, I have enhanced my skills in addressing a wide range of mental health issues. From anxiety and depression to trauma recovery, I provide an empathic and evidence-based counseling to individuals of all ages.
