Hi! I was born in Puerto Rico, but I have been living in the United States since 1990. I graduated with my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from D’Youville College in Buffalo NY, then with my Master in Social Work at the University at Buffalo. I started my career as a Bi-Lingual Dual Disorder therapist at an outpatient agency in Buffalo NY. Moving to Florida in 2014, I worked with individuals who have been diagnosed with alcohol and/or substance misuse who have been linked with the court system, as well as working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced complex trauma. I have experience in working as a program manager providing guidance and clinical direction to other therapists, as well as providing therapeutic services to individuals within the LGBTQAI+ community and those who have been impacted by an HIV diagnosis. Throughout my career I have been able to gain knowledge on different types of diagnoses and resources in order to assist in improving individuals overall well-being in a holistic way.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. We will also discuss possible goals that we would like to accomplish in order to address the challenges that brought you to therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a clinical social worker I have been able to help those that are struggling with depression, anxiety, feelings of hopelessness, which have negatively impacted their self-worth. Through therapy they have been able to overcome obstacles as well as identify and utilize skills that they had all along. I empower my clients to advocate for themselves and believe in their inner strength. I am thankful for the many individuals that I have served throughout my 10 year career as a therapist. I have been blessed to work with an incredibly diverse population of all ages, as well as provide clinical supervision to other therapists with the same passion as mine.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have a wide range of experience working with different cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds. I am kink-friendly/compentent and assist in helping clients navigate ethical non-monogomous relationships.
