I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), practicing in sunny South Florida. I am originally from New York, but have lived here in the sunshine state for over a decade. I focus my practice on assisting young adults navigate through various struggles including but not limited to: adjustment difficulties due to life changes, educational transitions, anxiety and depression, obesssive-compulsive-disorder, alcoholism/addiction, trauma and PTSD. My clients would describe me as a down to earth, thoughtful, interesting, and fun individual! I use a client-centered approach, in combination with CBT, strengths-based, and solution-focused therapy modalities. I am highly dedicated to my clients and enjoy working with and aiding in the newfound process of healing, stability, and growth. I look forward to getting to know you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, it is very important we begin to establish a connection and therapeutic alliance. Basic and brief introductions come first, followed by discussing the challenges and difficulties you may be facing, only when you are comfortable doing so! This will help me to create a unique and structured plan to commence in the following sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Since I was a child, I always had an affinity to connect with people. As a therapist this has grown into a personal strength aiding with building a strong therapeutic bond with my clients. Additionally, my sense of humor (when suitable!) has been my major strength I incorporate into my practice. My clients appreciate both my structured and concise therapeutic presentation, as well the ability to make things appropriately fun and engaging!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all interconnected, impacting and influencing how we react and respond to the world around us. At times, these thoughts can be self-defeating and negatively impact our mental health. By utilizing a CBT approach, maladaptive or hurtful thought patterns and beliefs can be examined, reshaped and refraimed. By continuing to address these intrusive thoughts, we can increase self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills to aid in everyday decision-making and conflicts that may occur.

Strength-Based

I empower my clients, bringing out the best, most capable version of themselves, while focusing on each individuals unique areas of internal strengths, not weaknesses.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

A collaborative and solution focused approach between client and therapist, focusing on the here-and-now (present). Let the focus be on client strengths, what can be done, and how to implement goal directed tasks to move forward and foster lasting change to improve overall quality of life.
