About me

Hi there:) My name is Lauren. I’ve been providing therapy for about 11 years now. I have experience with just about every population from school age to the elder years. I believe strongly in the mind/body connection and the utilization of a holistic, client centered approach to address both physical and mental health as they both work in conjunction to promote quality of life. I am passionate about helping others learn the skills they need in order to evolve into the best version of themselves.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I know that giving therapy a try for the first time or even just with a new therapist can be a stressful experience. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and help you feel comfortable and build a strong alliance with the you as we establish the best path forward for you and your individual goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I always meet you with genuine empathy, understanding and provide a judgement free zone where you can feel at home and free to discuss your concerns.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve women and men between the ages of 18 and 65. If you are dealing with a life transition, a traumatic experience, grief, trouble at work and/or in your relationships or just all around issues with your physical or mental health, let’s work together using a holistic approach to help rebuild what feels lost or broken so that you can start living the life you were meant to live.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify and gain insight into problematic thought patterns and develop healthy, adaptive ways of thinking and/or behavior so that they can achieve their goals.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I like to incorporate mindfulness strategies into my approach to help re-gain the mind/body connection, improving mood, energy levels, sleep, nutrition and physical activity.

Psychoeducation

I’ve always felt that education about ourselves and the world around us is so helpful in learning how to manage our physical and mental health struggles. Whether it’s education about a condition you struggle with or just are seeking an information from both a holistic and/or medical perspective, I will work with you to develop the knowledge you need to make the best decisions for yourself.

Gestalt

Sometimes, a more holistic approach is necessary to increase self-awareness and resolve past trauma and/or issues we are dealing with that are presenting barriers to achieving our goals. I like to incorporate some Gestalt elements into my practice to help clients heal the broken parts of themselves and become a more cohesive whole.

Trauma Informed Care

Anyone can have a traumatic experience because it’s relative to the individual person. Traumatic events can be repressed but eventually manifest in the body or the mind in maladaptive and unpleasant ways. I have found that the only way out is to walk through the discomfort and eventually the road blocks become roadkill on your journey to becoming the best version of yourself.
