Hi, I'm Carolyn Dower, LCSW, LISW with 36 years experience working with adults, teens, and couples to find inner peace, better health, happier relationships, and more fulfilling work. Would you like to understand yourself better so that you can feel better and get more of what you want in life? I help with the range of problems that people can have -- depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, spiritual conflicts, and relationship problems -- or whatever is troubling you. We'll begin by listening deeply to your thoughts, feelings, and needs as you are comfortable sharing them. Together we can find solutions to your problems. We may choose to learn some simple and effective relaxation methods, empowering communication skills, and techniques to heal childhood hurts. All of this works together for good self esteem, good energy, and a good life. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and how we might work together. Hoping to meet you soon! My treatment methods

Couples Counseling

I use a very positive method with good results called Imago Relationship Therapy.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I teach breathing & body-scan methods to promote attention on the Present Moment.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have been using this very kind and attentive, well-researched and individualized psychotherapy.

Psychodynamic

I know the power of the unconscious mind not only through my work with clients but also through my own psychoanalysis.

Supportive

Even well-adjusted people can need support when going through tough times in their lives. It is my honor to provide that.
