I am a mental health clinician. I have worked in the field of mental health for 29 years. I am a retired public school educator/administrator, 48 years! I am an American Red Cross volunteer, 13 years. I volunteer in Disaster Mental Health, Services to the Armed Forces, Yellow Ribbons, as well as facilitate Reconnection Workshops for Deployed and Re-Deployed soldiers and veterans. I have been successful and quite effective in working with Addictions, Individuals, Couples, Families, school issues, Christian Counseling, and personality disorders. Hi. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Orlando, Florida area. I have resided in this area for more than 30 years. Prior to moving to Orlando, I served in the U.S. Army and now a Veteran. I attended college in Orlando with both my Bachelors and Masters from University of Central Florida. I have worked for Department of Children and Families Protective Services and Investigation for children for 16 years before. Towards the last five years of my DCF career, I began my Masters program in Social Work. After graduating, I began to work on my licensure in therapy.

I received my master’s degree in social worker from the University of Central Florida in 2006. My experience has primarily been in the medical arena helping individuals and families transition through the complex medical system. I also help them navigate life changes in a positive, hands on approach. I am a practicing clinical social worker with 29 years of experience and have practiced in Maryland; currently new to Florida. I utilize a collaborative approach to self determination and self improvement with adults and families. I have extensive experience in Bipolar Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injuries and Trauma. I worked as a Social Worker with older Adults for 10 plus years and am comfortable with providing resources and mental health support to that population.

My Social Work career was initiated by my passion to support those within vulnerable populations, specifically within the child welfare system. I began my career as a Social Worker working within the Child Welfare system in New York City. In 2003, I relocated to Charlotte, NC and continued my work within Child Welfare as a Child Protective Services Social Worker. In 2008, I obtained my clinical licensure which initiated my move from providing direct clinical services to children, young adults and families.
