Since graduating, I have worked as a therapist with several different populations, including families involved with the foster care system, adult inmates in a prison, youth in the Juvenile Justice system, adults in community mental health, children in the school setting, and, most recently, adults and children in private practice. I have a passion for working with those suffering with anxiety, OCD, and trauma. I have specialized training in EMDR to help treat trauma, as well as ERP, which has been shown to be the "Gold Standard" treatment for OCD. I am also certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which guides much of my approach to emotion regulation.

After a career in the corporate world, I "reinvented" by going back to school to obtain a masters degree in counseling. I have worked at the VA, FL civil commitment prison, a psychiatric hospital and for the last five years counsel for a local hospital system serving a diverse population. Married, 5 kids, (3 adopted), cats and dogs, successes and failures in both business and personal life. I continue to learn how to navigate life's challenges and find meaning and purpose helping others. I practice CBT, ACT, and mindfulness, but believe the client's language should drive their journey. Being heard and understood is a partnership. Cultivating peace inside us allows us to see things as they really are. I pledge to always do my best for you.

I have about five years experience in therapy and also worked in foster care for about five years.
