We can work together to identify needs, and create plans to obtain them. We'll not only use a whole self approach, but evidence based practice(s) as well. This may include CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and/or DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy). No matter what you're struggling with, be it addiction, anxiety or depression, I'm here to help you. During our first session, you can expect a short introduction, and time provided to share about yourself, specific challenges and possible goals. Learning this will help me to create a plan that will be best for you, and most feasible based on where you are.
CBT or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to better identify and address your thoughts. Using this as first line of defense in overcoming struggles. DBT or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy can be viewed as a way to incorporate radical acceptance in areas of your life where you have the most challenges.
I have worked in addiction in some capacity for the last 12 years. Since practicing therapy, this has been something I have grown to be even more passionate about. Identifying roots, and working through and up to resolution. Additionally, working within the LGBTQ+ community ensuring equal access and respect is given.
