Hi, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counsellor (LMHC) based in South Florida. I received my Masters from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and have been practicing for over 20 years. I help people of all ages struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety and mood disorders by assiting them with developing coping skills that they can use to reduce and/or manage their symptoms better.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience counseling individuals of all ages. Throughout my career as a social worker, I’ve worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, nursing homes, residential addiction treatment centers, and crisis stabilization with childrenfamilies; in public, private and voluntary sectors. I also worked abroad (UK) for 2 years where I gained meaningful experience working with a variety of cultures. I am Bilingual (EnglishSpanish) and, as such, recognize the importance of being culturally aware. I am caring, compassionate, and a very good listener. I am a Christian, wife of a Veteran, mother, and grandmother. My heritage is Caribbean-American. I grew up in South Florida with four sisters and two brothers. I was very independent at a very young age and willing to help out wherever. I am a musician starting with piano in elementary school, then clarinet in middle school, and bass clarinet and bassoon in high school. I love music and find it beneficial in every aspect of life. I decided to grow my family before pursuing a career. I decided to pursue a career in the mental health field because of a family member being diagnosed with a severe mental health disorder. I earned my AA in Psychology, then a dual degree in Psychology and Behavioral Science. After my undergrad, I went on to receive my master's in social work. I have worked with Veterans, homeless, hospice, young adults, children, elders, couples and individuals with severe mental health diagnoses. In my pursuit to help my family member, I became even more passionate about mental health and reducing the negative stigma attached to it. This passion I share with everyone I encounter.

I am Licensed Mental Health Therapist for the State of Florida with over 9 years of extensive experience of counseling individuals from all diverse backgrounds. I am originally from Haiti and have found a great passion for my culture and a true appreciation for differences in all people. I have worked as a Psychotherapist in an inpatient Psychiatric setting, Mobile Crisis Response setting, and Outpatient Office and school Based Therapy setting. Most of my experience is dealing with women’s issues and how voice is found in a paternalistic society. I use a Family Systems lens as we bring our family with us even when we come as individuals. In my work with clients, I create a space of openness and acceptance as to what is present in the client’s life. I believe that clients have an innate ability to create healing for themselves, and I shepherd that process. I use a Mindfulness-Based Awareness practice and a participatory approach - to create solutions. As a client commits themselves to the process, they can expect increased awareness and see themselves and their issues more clearly. This awareness oftentimes brings with it a heightened ability to solve issues that are creating roadblocks.
