In therapy with me, there’s no judgment, no fluff, and no “one-size-fits-all” solutions. We’ll start where you are—whether that’s putting out fires in your daily life or addressing deeper wounds that keep pulling you back. I combine Brainspotting, practical tools, and direct conversation to help you manage today’s struggles while healing the past. My focus areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and domestic violence. I also work with therapists, first responders, and others carrying the weight of the world. My style is direct, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that healing is messy but possible. Together, we’ll create a space to explore your emotions, uncover patterns, and build strategies that work for you. It’s not about perfection—it’s about progress and reclaiming your life on your terms.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is like reading the back summary of a book—we touch on a lot of points quickly, giving us both a sense of where to start. It’s a space for you to share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. There’s no pressure to dive deep unless you’re ready. This session is all about creating a foundation: I get to know you, you get to know me, and together, we start figuring out the path forward. For some clients, the first session can feel tiring—it’s a lot to talk about all at once. For others, it’s energizing—a chance to finally put some of what you’re carrying into words. Either way, it’s important to have the time and space to process what comes up. My goal in the first session is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel supported, seen, and understood. We’ll explore what brought you here, the challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to get out of therapy. From there, we’ll start building a plan that feels right for you—one that’s practical, manageable, and focused on progress. This is just the beginning of your journey, and I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths is breaking the typical mold of therapy. I meet clients where they are, using approaches that work for them rather than sticking to a one-size-fits-all method. Therapy with me isn’t about ticking boxes or hitting numbers—it’s about the person. I prioritize connection, getting to know clients on a deeper level so we can create a space for real progress. My style is direct, compassionate, and focused on accountability. I don’t shy away from confrontation when it’s needed, but I also ensure clients feel supported and understood. My unique experiences also set me apart. I’ve worked in substance treatment, with individuals involved in the legal system, and as a first responder, which has given me a deep understanding of trauma, crisis, and resilience. I’ve supported victims as an advocate and worked with batterers, allowing me to approach domestic violence issues from multiple perspectives. These experiences make me relatable to a wide range of clients, particularly those who feel like their struggles are too complex to unpack. Clients often tell me they appreciate my straightforwardness, my ability to hold space without judgment, and how I help them uncover the root of their challenges. My training includes Brainspotting, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care. I’m a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and have certifications in domestic violence, victim advocacy, and community mental health work, all of which contribute to my ability to guide clients through their journeys. Above all, I believe in creating a therapeutic relationship grounded in authenticity, trust, and progress. I help clients feel seen, heard, and capable of achieving their goals, no matter how overwhelming life may feel.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If you are someone who feels like they’re carrying the weight of the world but still keeps pushing forward, even when it feels impossible. Maybe you’re juggling anxiety, depression, or self-doubt, or facing major life transitions that have left you questioning everything. Perhaps you’re a first responder or therapist who’s used to helping others but struggles to ask for help yourself. Or maybe you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ or a marginalized community and just want to feel seen, supported, and understood without judgment. What my clients have in common is they’ve reached a point where they’re ready for things to change, even if they’re not quite sure how to start. You might feel stuck in patterns that don’t serve you, overwhelmed by relationship challenges, or weighed down by the effects of trauma, substance use, or self-esteem struggles. Whatever you’re facing, you want a space where you can be real—no fluff, no judgment, no cookie-cutter solutions. That’s where I come in. My approach is direct, compassionate, and tailored to you. We start with what’s happening now and work backward to uncover how the past has shaped your present. Together, we untangle the chaos, explore what’s holding you back, and build strategies that actually work in your daily life. Whether you’re managing a crisis, healing deep wounds, or figuring out how to take the next step forward, I’ll meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be. If you’re ready to face the hard stuff and start reclaiming your life, I’m here to help. Healing might be messy, but it’s always possible—and you don’t have to do it alone.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use CBT to help clients tackle issues like anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges. Together, we identify the thought patterns holding you back, challenge those patterns, and replace them with healthier perspectives. I incorporate practical tools, like thought records and behavior experiments, so you can start seeing changes in your daily life quickly.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I take a compassionate yet direct approach to help clients confront their trauma safely and effectively. We work on understanding how past experiences impact your current thoughts, emotions, and relationships. I may integrate grounding techniques or narrative work to help you regain control over your story and build resilience.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe in meeting you where you are. My role is to create a judgment-free space where you feel heard, valued, and understood. By offering empathy and unconditional positive regard, I encourage you to explore your emotions and take ownership of your growth.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

When you're feeling stuck, we work together to identify your strengths and the small steps you can take to move forward. I guide you to focus on what’s working in your life and how we can build on it to achieve your goals.

Brainspotting

I use Brainspotting to help clients uncover and resolve emotional pain, trauma, and other challenges that feel “stuck.” During a session, we work together to find the “spot” in your field of vision that connects to an area of emotional or physical tension. This is done while creating a calm and safe environment where you can process at your own pace.
