In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a foundation of trust and understanding. I’ll ask questions to better understand what’s bringing you to therapy, your current challenges/concerns, emotional well-being, medical and mental health history, and any relevant life experiences. This process helps me gain a clearer picture of what you’re going through and how I can best support you. You don’t need to prepare anything or have all the answers—just come as you are. You’ll have space to share what feels most important, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I may also explore your strengths, support systems, and any goals you’d like to work toward, in addition to how I can best support you on your path toward healing and growth. By the end of the session, we’ll discuss initial impressions, outline a plan for therapy, and begin identifying the strategies and tools that may be most helpful for your unique situation. This evaluation is not about judgment—it’s about creating a thoughtful, individualized approach to your care.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

Drawing from a humanistic foundation, I prioritize empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard in our work together. I also incorporate evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns, as well as mindfulness strategies to support emotional regulation and present-moment awareness. By blending these approaches, I offer a collaborative, client-centered experience that supports both insight and practical change—helping you move toward healing, self-understanding, and a greater sense of balance in your life.
