There are many ways stress can show up in our lives—sometimes as anxiety, low mood, or feeling stuck. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience, I’m here to help you navigate those challenges. I work with adults and couples to identify what’s holding them back and guide them toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. Together, we’ll explore how your thoughts and emotions influence your behavior and discover practical tools that fit your unique needs. My goal is to help you shift your inner narrative, overcome obstacles, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Our first session is all about getting to know you. I take my time to truly understand your reasons for seeking therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope to gain from our work together. After completing the intake paperwork, we’ll begin exploring your story, including any patterns or concerns you’ve been facing. This conversation sets the foundation for a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
The immigrant experience has many complexities that are unique to its journey. As this is my lived experience, I consider it one of my strengths to be able to relate to clients who have also undergone this process. I’m also adept at addressing acculturation issues and specific concerns as it relates to the Latino and Spanish-speaking culture. I’m happy to provide services in English or Spanish.
I enjoy working with motivated individuals and couples who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives. I’m particularly well-suited to support clients navigating challenges such as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. I welcome both English and Spanish-speaking clients. I have expertise in working with those from Hispanic or immigrant backgrounds, helping me understand the cultural nuances and identity shifts that can come with these experiences.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, time-limited form of psychotherapy that helps individuals identify and change negative patterns of thinking, behavior, and emotional responses. The core idea is that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and altering one can influence the others.
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a goal-oriented, brief therapeutic approach that emphasizes building solutions rather than focusing on problems. It operates on the belief that clients already possess the resources and strengths needed to resolve their challenges. SFT is particularly effective for short-term therapy and promotes a collaborative, empowering process for creating meaningful change.
Narrative Therapy emphasizes empowerment, encouraging clients to take an active role in shaping their lives and relationships.
Family Therapy can address various issues, such as parenting challenges, marital conflict, substance abuse, or mental health concerns. It aims to promote healthier relationships and a supportive family environment.
