My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a Doctorate-level LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within my practice, and I find it to be an invaluable tool in helping clients achieve greater emotional regulation, self-awareness, and positive behavioral change. In my practice, I integrate CBT techniques with mindfulness-based interventions to create a more holistic and effective therapeutic approach. While CBT helps clients identify and reframe distorted or harmful thought patterns, mindfulness allows them to cultivate greater awareness of their present moment experiences, including their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, without judgment. Together, these approaches foster a deeper understanding of how thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, and how mindfulness can be used to interrupt automatic patterns that may lead to emotional distress or unhealthy coping strategies.
