Hello, my name is Clint, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. Life can be challenging at times, and feeling overwhelmed, depressed, or stuck after a difficult experience is more common than many people realize. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I want to acknowledge and honor the first step you’ve taken by being here. Every person’s journey is unique, but one theme I often see is the impact of self-esteem on emotional well-being. When confidence is low, it can affect how we think, feel, and cope with life’s stressors. Through a collaborative and personalized approach, I work with clients to strengthen their self-worth and build practical skills for lasting change. By developing greater self-confidence and self-understanding, clients often discover they already have the resilience and ability to manage life’s challenges in healthy, meaningful ways. My goal is to support you in creating a life that feels balanced, fulfilling, and true to who you are.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel uncertain, so it’s important to know what to expect from your first session. Our initial meeting is focused on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and sharing at your own pace. We’ll take time to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore the concerns that may be affecting your well-being. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns, strengths, and goals, and start developing a thoughtful plan tailored to your needs. By the end of our first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of your challenges, a sense of direction moving forward, and reassurance that you don’t have to face this alone. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is grounded in a thoughtful balance of clinical expertise and genuine compassion. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel both understood and supported, while also being guided with practical, evidence-based tools. I strive to create a safe, trusting environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. Through empathy, collaboration, and clear direction, I help clients face challenges with courage and clarity. By combining insight with encouragement, I empower individuals to build confidence, develop healthy coping strategies, and move forward with resilience. My goal is not only to help you navigate difficult moments, but to support you in creating lasting, positive change in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My mission is to support adults navigating a wide range of mental health challenges by providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard and understood. I work exclusively with individuals age 18 and older and do not currently provide therapy for children or couples. Using a collaborative, evidence-based approach—including cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and strengths-based techniques—I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and reconnect with their inner strengths. I am passionate about walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth, supporting you as you build confidence, resilience, and greater emotional balance. My goal is to help you feel more empowered, hopeful, and in control of your life. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to schedule your first session. Together, we can begin working toward a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been certified by the Association of Psychological therapies in CBT. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps clients by identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. By learning to recognize distorted thinking, develop healthier coping strategies, and practice new behaviors, clients gain greater control over their emotions, reduce symptoms such as anxiety and depression, and build practical skills that support long-term mental health and resilience.

Strength-Based

Using a strength-based therapy approach helps bolster self-esteem by identifying, validating, and building upon a person’s existing abilities, values, and successes. By shifting focus away from deficits and toward personal strengths, individuals develop a more balanced and compassionate self-view, which directly counteracts the negative self-talk common in depression. As self-esteem improves, clients often experience increased hope, motivation, and a sense of competence. This approach also addresses anxiety by enhancing confidence in one’s capacity to cope with stressors and challenges. Recognizing past resilience and effective coping skills reduces feelings of helplessness and fear of failure. Over time, strength-based therapy fosters empowerment, emotional regulation, and a greater sense of control, helping to alleviate symptoms of both depression and anxiety.

Interpersonal

Relationships are complicated. Although they are a source of our greatest satisfaction, they can also be quite stressful. I have found that through the use of interpersonal therapy, my clients have learned to be more empathetic to their partner's needs while also prioritizing their own.

Grief Therapy

I have spent several years working in hospice and hospitals working with patients experiencing the loss of a loved one or their independence. By providing space for them to be able to express their feelings of loss and encouraging them to give themselves the time and space to grieve, I have empowered patients to be able to adjust to their new lives.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

There are times when clients are limited by the amount of sessions that they are able to have. In these scenarios, it is important that we work together to define a goal and outline the steps to get there as soon as possible. That is why in all my initial sessions, I explain to my clients that we have to define the issue, establish a plan of care, and monitor that plan regardless of how many sessions they have available to them. I believe that it is very important for clients to know that there is a solution and that we are making measurable progress towards it.
