I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a specialized focus on addiction and the recovery process, including a strong understanding of the 12-step model. I also work extensively with mood disorders and personality disorders, with a particular clinical interest in borderline personality disorder (BPD). I am a proud graduate of Florida Atlantic University, where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. I bring significant experience supporting individuals navigating substance use disorders and complex mental health challenges, especially those impacted by emotional dysregulation, unstable relationships, identity concerns, and trauma-related patterns. My goal is to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve by fostering education, self-awareness, and a deeper understanding of emotional and behavioral health. I believe that healing begins with insight — and that every person has the capacity to grow, transform, and create lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore what’s been happening in your life, what you’d like to work on, and what goals you hope to achieve through our time together. This is a space for you to share at your own pace — there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. I’ll ask questions to help me understand your background, current challenges, and any patterns or experiences that may be influencing how you feel today. Together, we’ll begin identifying the areas you’d like to focus on and start creating a plan for your healing and growth. The first session is also a time for you to get a feel for me and my approach. I want you to feel safe, comfortable, and heard. Building a strong, trusting relationship is at the heart of the work we’ll do together. By the end of our session, you’ll have a clearer sense of what therapy with me looks like and how we can collaborate to support your personal goals, emotional wellness, and overall healing journey.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
As a therapist with extensive experience in addiction and the recovery process, including a strong understanding of the 12-step model, as well as borderline personality disorder (BPD), I bring a compassionate and integrative approach to healing. My work focuses on helping individuals and families understand the deeper roots of their struggles by exploring how early experiences, emotional wounds, and relational patterns influence emotional regulation, behavior, and self-identity. I specialize in supporting clients navigating addiction and recovery, BPD-related challenges, intense emotions, interpersonal conflicts, and complex relationship dynamics. Through a balance of empathy, insight, and practical guidance, I help clients develop greater self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. Grounded in authenticity and a strong belief in every person’s capacity for growth and change, my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing, resilience, and lasting transformation can take root.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to support individuals navigating the addiction and recovery process, emotional healing, personality disorders, and personal growth. I work well with individuals who are ready to explore the “why” behind their patterns — whether that involves breaking cycles of substance use, managing intense emotions, healing from past wounds, or improving relationships and communication. Many of my clients experience anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and personality-related challenges commonly associated with BPD, often rooted in early attachment wounds, neglect, loss, or dysfunctional family dynamics. I am especially drawn to working with individuals who feel “stuck” — repeating familiar patterns despite their best efforts — and who are seeking a deeper, more compassionate understanding of themselves. My approach is designed to help clients move from survival and reactivity toward meaningful healing, increased self-awareness, emotional stability, and more fulfilling relationships.
