As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Master's-Level Certified Addictions Professional, I bring over 20 years of clinical expertise in treating addiction and relationship issues. I have worked with clients of all races, cultures, and genders. My professional experience includes Inpatient, Residential, Outpatient, and Aftercare therapeutic services. I use a blend of brain and body based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My primary modality is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy), based on the Adaptive Information Processing model. Neuroscience and studies on Neuroplasticity are baring out that the mind can heal itself. Old pathways and negative memories can be updated with new adaptive information. EMDR uses eye movements and other forms of physical tapping and Bi-Lateral stimulation to help the brain process old stuck memories and trauma. Not just for Big Trauma's like car accidents, it can help with many issues from the past, present and perceived future concerns including PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety and more specific issues such as religious abuse, shame, guilt and pain management.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), EMDR trained and trauma certified, specializing in addiction, anxiety, and depression, including clients currently in treatment programs. My practice is built on a person-centered approach — real dialogue, not lectures, and space for you to heal at your own pace. Together, we'll build practical tools tailored to you, while addressing what's underneath the struggle. My goal is to help you heal, repair, and grow into lasting independence and self-trust.

The great poet Rumi wrote "out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there." That field is a space where calm, love and forgiveness exist. There is no judgement, only acceptance here. And in that soul space you are free to find those fragments of you that are lost, and begin to piece them back together.
I'm licensed in both Florida and Michigan. As a licensed clinical therapist and licensed substance abuse counselor, I have experience running very powerful substance abuse and co-occurring groups. I've been fortunate to work with people in their homes, in the community, with their families as well as the private practice setting which have given me a much richer experience than just an of an office setting alone.

Hi! I'm Zev.
I help teens and adults heal from anxiety, depression, and past trauma by providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy to help the people I work with take ownership of their story, their self, and their future.
For people who feel stuck in patterns of fear, self-doubt, feeling down, or memories that just won't go away, healing can mean finally feeling a sense of peace.
I believe therapy should be both compassionate and useful. I will listen and validate your experience, but I will also challenge you when it is helpful and teach you skills you can use outside of our sessions.
Most importantly, you don’t have to come into therapy knowing exactly what you need. You just need to be willing to start figuring it out. My job is to meet you where you are, help you understand yourself better, and work with you toward feeling more like yourself again.

After completing my degree in Cuba, where I worked in inpatient and school settings, I continued my journey in the United States and earned my master’s degree in psychology.
Over the years, I’ve worked with children, families, and adults through moments of crisis, grief, and major life transitions. My experience with multidisciplinary teams has taught me to see each person as a whole—emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially.
