In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During the first therapy session, we focus on getting to know you and creating a safe, supportive space for open conversation. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, and what brings you to therapy, along with reviewing your past medical and mental health history. Together, we will explore your personal goals and what you hope to gain from therapy, then begin identifying realistic steps and approaches to help you reach those goals. This initial session is collaborative and paced to your comfort, allowing us to build a strong foundation for our work together. Did you know this about equine therapy? The steady rhythm of a horse’s heart can have a calming effect on a person’s nervous system. When people are near or touching a horse, their breathing and heart rate often begin to slow and sync with the horse’s calm, consistent heartbeat. This natural regulation helps reduce anxiety, promotes emotional grounding, and creates a sense of safety and connection, supporting healing and relaxation.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Managing stress that can lead to burn out, depression and anxiety. We all need support. Working with Pahoua, you will get professional and reliable support. Outside of work, Pahoua enjoys hiking, running, and walking with her husband, children and 2 dogs. She likes being outdoors and loves being a beach bum. She crochets and likes to paint, draw, and bake.
