New to Grow
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating a major life transition, struggling in your relationships, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can be a place to slow down and make sense of it all. I specialize in working with young adults as they navigate the challenges that come with the "quarter life crisis," while also working with adults who are looking for greater self-understanding and lasting change. My goal is to provide a space where you feel genuinely accepted, understood, and free from judgment. Together, we'll work toward helping you build self-compassion, communicate more effectively, and develop the tools to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but there's no pressure to have everything figured out before you walk in. Our first session is simply an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I'll spend time learning about what has brought you to therapy, what's been weighing on you, and what you hope life might look like if things felt better. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and with a better understanding of how we can work together moving forward.
I believe some of the most meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be completely themselves. I strive to create a calm, welcoming space where you don't have to worry about being judged or saying the "right" thing. I also believe therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. Every person brings a different story, different strengths, and different goals, so I tailor my approach to fit what works best for you. I balance compassion with practical strategies, helping you not only understand why you're feeling the way you are, but also giving you tools you can use outside of our sessions. My hope is that therapy helps you leave with greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and confidence in your ability to navigate whatever life brings your way.
I work best with clients who are ready to better understand themselves, even if they aren't quite sure where to begin. Many are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or simply feeling stuck in patterns they want to change. I especially enjoy working with young adults as they navigate adulthood and all the uncertainty that can come with it. I also work with many members of the LGBTQ+ community and strive to create a space where every client feels safe, accepted, and free to show up as their authentic self.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, challenge negative self-beliefs, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding to life's challenges.
Eclectic
I take an eclectic, individualized approach to therapy because I believe no single method works for everyone. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Solution-Focused Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gestalt Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), tailoring each session to your unique needs, goals, and strengths.
