Since graduating, I have worked as a therapist with several different populations, including families involved with the foster care system, adult inmates in a prison, youth in the Juvenile Justice system, adults in community mental health, children in the school setting, and, most recently, adults and children in private practice. I have a passion for working with those suffering with anxiety, OCD, and trauma. I have specialized training in EMDR to help treat trauma, as well as ERP, which has been shown to be the "Gold Standard" treatment for OCD. I am also certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which guides much of my approach to emotion regulation.

For the past 30 years, I've had the privilege of serving clients of different ages, backgrounds, in a variety of settings. I assist Individuals, Couples, Families, Groups, and even Communities when needed, offering both short term and long term counseling. I am licensed to diagnose and treat many issues, such as Mental Health issues, including Substance Abuse. I have advanced training in PTSD, Critical Incident Stress Management, and work with all types of traumas, including abuse, grief, as well as assisting Communities during manmade/ natural disasters, or acts of violence that require interventions on a larger scale. For the past 20 years, I have specialized in assisting have served First Responders, Firefighters, EMS, and Law Enforcement Officers, who were involved with 9/11. I am very dedicated to assisting Medical Staff, and other local heros who selflessly look after our safety and well being. Before entering Private Practice, for many years, I worked in Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Agencies, Psychiatric Centers, Nursing Homes, and Homeless Shelters. I have extensive experience working with people who have Disabilities, and Chronic Medical Issues. I became proficient at American Sign Language , I help clients learn their rights under the American with Disability Act to learn how to request accessible goods and services.
