Hi there, I'm Angelica, and I would like to start by congratulating you on choosing the journey to heal. The decision to face our challenges, heal and grow is a hard one but by far the most rewarding. My mission is to actively work towards changing the world for the better, one interaction at a time. For me, it is important to treat everyone with respect and compassion. I have years of experience working with diverse populations experiencing a wide range of concerns including; depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, physical and emotional abuse, active hallucinations & delusions. I have worked with adults & children in school settings, hospitals, jails, and juvenile detention centers, and those in the LGBTQ community. My therapy style is non-judgmental, welcoming, warm & interactive. I believe in creating an environment where individuals feel important, listened to, empowered, and can heal through vulnerability Feel proud of yourself for choosing to heal, and I am grateful to help you through this journey!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

From the very beginning my goal is always to ensure that clients feel comfortable and safe in the space that I create. To me, the first session is critical to building a healthy relationship. So I start off by providing a space where clients can ask questions about the process, what to expect, how things may work, ETC. I also take this time to go over some basic "rules" and guidelines to ensure that we are on the same page moving forward. After this, I will do an assessment, which is asking you questions about yourself, reviewing the questionnaires that were filled out, and gathering any additional information that may be helpful for us to work together.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Although I do use different treatment methods, my treatment styles vary by client and the issues we are working on. I look at the whole self, not just the issues at hand, all while empowering you to be the best version of yourself. Some of the different approaches can consist of cognitive-behavioral therapy, humanistic, psychodynamic, solution-focused and more.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I like to believe that one of my biggest strengths is working with individuals that have experienced traumatic events. I am a firm believer that we can overcome anything, and trauma is one of the hardest experiences we can overcome, but one of the most fulfilling. I don't shy away from a "difficult" situation, and I want to encourage all of you to face those situations that you may be running away from. The time to heal is now!
