I entered the field of social work 10+ years ago to advocate for and assist others in finding their voice. I quickly learned I was able to use my skills to help clients overcome obstacles and navigate broken systems. Over the course of my career, the need to address mental health disparities became apparent, as did the lack of available providers to do so. I became a licensed therapist to help clients live a life free of shame, one that is authentic without needing anyone else’s approval.

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than a decade in mental health, working with high-functioning adults who look fine from the outside but feel like they're quietly running on empty. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship patterns, and questions of identity and purpose often while carrying a lot and holding it all together. I bring particular depth for healthcare professionals and for Hispanic/Latina clients balancing family expectations with their own path, and I work in both English and Spanish. Born in Colombia and raised in Florida, I understand what it's like to live across cultures. My approach is collaborative, integrative, and evidence-based, drawing on CBT, ACT, DBT-informed work, and Emotionally/Solution Focused Therapy. I care about depth and lasting change, not just managing symptoms. If meaning and purpose matter to you, they're welcome here and if they don't, that's fine too. https://vitaratherapy.com/

Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in sunny Florida! I received my master’s degree from the University of South Florida and have been licensed and practicing for 30 years, treating all ages. I work with a wide array of areas, including anxiety, depression, life skills, and grief. I am a certified provider specializing in trauma, grief, ADHD, and dementia. I use a client-centered and collaborative approach. As we work together, you will find that a major focus is on building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel supported and understood. I am empathetic, nonjudgmental, and a great listener. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a structured, goal-oriented therapy that encourages you to focus on current problems and find solutions, rather than dwelling on the past. This approach allows you to manage mental health conditions and emotional concerns by identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. I look forward to working together, problem-solving, and helping you feel like yourself again!

I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

As a woman of color and Army combat veteran, I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help. I know from personal experience that seeking support can feel vulnerable, and at the same time, it can be one of the most supportive and life-giving steps a person can take. As a clinician, I prioritize my own wellness and healing because I believe it helps me remain present, grounded, and effective in holding space for my clients. It is an honor to be invited into someone’s healing and growth journey, and I do not take that responsibility lightly. Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy watching football (go Chiefs), attending festivals, and engaging in arts, crafts, and DIY projects. I also enjoy trying new food spots and taking time to rest and recharge. I view my work as a calling rather than just a job, and I am deeply grateful to do what I love.

I’m the kind of therapist who listens closely, asks thoughtful questions, and gives you practical tools you can use in real life. I’m not here to judge or lecture; I’m here to walk alongside you as you learn, grow, and build the confidence to navigate life’s challenges. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable with me quickly because I’m approachable, honest, and easy to talk to. I bring a balance of compassion and structure to every session. You’ll always know you have a space where your feelings matter, your experiences are respected, and your goals guide our work. My background includes extensive training in trauma‑informed care, CBT, DBT, and family‑systems approaches. I also have a strong passion for working with neurodivergent clients and families, offering an affirming space where strengths are recognized and supported. My own life experiences — growing up in a close family, learning the importance of communication, and navigating my own seasons of growth — shape the way I show up as a therapist. I understand what it feels like to carry a lot, to want to do well, and to feel overwhelmed by expectations. That’s why I focus on helping clients build emotional clarity, healthier patterns, and practical coping skills that truly make a difference. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your family, my goal is to help you feel grounded, capable, and supported as you work toward meaningful, lasting change.

I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood, so you can begin to feel relief knowing your healing journey is underway. I want you to feel proud of yourself for taking the step to prioritize your mental health; it truly matters. My style is warm, patient, encouraging, and direct in a way that supports growth without feeling harsh or overwhelming. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida with a Master of Social Work (MSW), and I work with teens, young adults, couples, families, and individuals across the lifespan. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and evidence-based strategies for anxiety and emotional well-being. In our work together, I focus on helping you better understand yourself, process what you’re going or have gone through, and build practical tools to manage anxiety, trauma, depression, and life’s daily challenges. I believe in supporting healing from a trauma-informed lens while also empowering you to recognize your own strengths and growth along the way. If you’re feeling nervous about starting therapy, I often remind clients: Life will always bring challenges, and we all need support in navigating them. Seeking help is not something to be ashamed or afraid of; it’s a meaningful sign of strength and growth. Plus, there is a world of possibilities on the other side of your fear. Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. It’s incredibly brave to reflect on your life and decide to make positive changes. Seeking support is often the first meaningful step forward. I believe one of the most healing experiences a person can have is to feel truly heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I work with adults, adolescents, and children ages 10 and older, helping clients navigate anxiety, intrusive thoughts, relationship patterns, stress, and life transitions. I have extensive experience working with first responders, healthcare professionals, correctional staff, and individuals navigating high-stress careers. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression, burnout, and life transitions, as well as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. As someone who personally understands OCD and the experience of feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I know how overwhelming it can feel when old coping strategies stop working and you’re unsure how to move forward. Therapy can provide a space to better understand yourself, build healthier coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help clients feel more confident, emotionally grounded, and connected to a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. If you’re ready to begin creating a life you genuinely enjoy, I would be honored to support you in that process.

You may be going through big changes in life, fatherhood-motherhood, new marriage, professional challenges, or facing illness, getting older, losing people close to you, moving to a new place, starting over after divorce, or adjusting after a breakup or a change in your military life. These experiences can make anyone wonder who they are, how they relate to others, how they make decisions, and how they deal with grief, change, and conflict. Life keeps giving me chances to adjust to changes in my body, feelings, thoughts, and spirit. Some days are easier than others, and that’s just part of being human. I see it as a way to keep getting stronger, more flexible, and better at handling life. When my emotions feel really strong, I may feel pulled in different directions. But reaching out, connecting with someone, and taking action usually helps me stay resilient and keep moving forward.

Hi! I'm Zev. I help teens and adults heal from anxiety, depression, and past trauma by providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy to help the people I work with take ownership of their story, their self, and their future. For people who feel stuck in patterns of fear, self-doubt, feeling down, or memories that just won't go away, healing can mean finally feeling a sense of peace. I believe therapy should be both compassionate and useful. I will listen and validate your experience, but I will also challenge you when it is helpful and teach you skills you can use outside of our sessions. Most importantly, you don’t have to come into therapy knowing exactly what you need. You just need to be willing to start figuring it out. My job is to meet you where you are, help you understand yourself better, and work with you toward feeling more like yourself again.

Hi, I'm Ricardo. I'm a Hispanic man who's done my own work in therapy to figure out who I am and who I want to be—which is a big part of why I do this work today. I went into counseling field because I kept seeing people who felt unheard or misunderstood by the people around them, often carrying more than anyone realized. That's especially true for a lot of men and teenage boys I've worked with—individuals who feel like they're supposed to be strong, keep things to themselves, or handle things alone, but who rarely have a space to actually talk about what's underneath that. I grew up seeing some of those same pressures and unhealthy patterns around what it means to "be a man," and part of my work now is helping men and boys move away from those roles and into a healthier, more grounded version of who they are—as partners, providers, sons, and people. I especially enjoy working with teenage boys who are figuring out who they are, often at an age when it's hard to talk to the adults around them about what's really going on. I try to meet them where they are—not lecturing, not judging—so they actually want to keep showing up and talking. For parents: if your son is pulling away, shutting down, or you're just not sure how to reach him right now, that's exactly the kind of thing we can work through together. Outside of the therapy room, I'm endlessly curious—I love traveling, learning about different cultures, sports, and music (I play a bit of guitar). I think that mix of curiosity, care, and having done some of my own work is a lot of what I bring into the room with clients.

Hi, I’m Philip Crouse, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. My clinical background is rooted in high-acuity environments, meaning I am highly experienced in helping individuals navigate complex crises, severe anxiety, deep depression, and the heavy weight of addiction and trauma. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or buried by recent life events, my goal is to help you find air to breathe right now. I don't believe in just sitting and nodding while you vent; therapy should be active. We will work collaboratively using practical, evidence-based tools—like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused techniques—to dismantle unhelpful behavioral loops and build immediate, actionable coping strategies. I operate from a strictly trauma-informed framework. This means I understand that safety and nervous system stabilization are the prerequisites for any real healing, and your autonomy and pace are always my top priorities. Whether you are navigating intense grief, the pressure of a major life transition, or the ongoing impact of past trauma, I provide a grounded, non-judgmental space where you are seen as a resilient survivor. Together, we can shift from just talking about the problem to actively building the functional, manageable life you deserve.

I’ve been passionate about psychology since I was eighteen, when I began studying it in Cuba. My mother once told me she had always dreamed of being a psychologist but had to follow another path—and that dream inspired my own. After completing my degree in Cuba, where I worked in inpatient and school settings, I continued my journey in the United States and earned my master’s degree in psychology. Over the years, I’ve worked with children, families, and adults through moments of crisis, grief, and major life transitions. My experience with multidisciplinary teams has taught me to see each person as a whole—emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Healing happens when we look at the full picture of someone’s life, not just their symptoms.
