I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy in Florida. I received my Masters and PhD at Nova Southeastern University and I have over 25 years experience in working in the mental health field. My strengths as a clinician are to help individuals and families to gain awareness as to what they are going through and how to make life long positive choices to gain a better sense of themselves.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy so we can start making goals towards you feeling better.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having been in the field for over 25 years, I bring my listening skills, ability to assist you in developing other ways of viewing your situation or emotions and how to develop positive coping skills that are realistic to what you can do.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with families especially as when one person changes in the system, the whole family has the ability to change as well. I also love working with individuals who may feel stuck in how they are feeling or what they are going through to provide another outlook as when we are going through difficult times, it can be hard to see a way out.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution Focused Therapy to assist my clients in realizing how they want their lives to be different. In solution-building, the perceptions of the client are more valued than the expertise of the therapist. I believe solutions are generated by the client as there is not one right solution for a given situation.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe CBT is a powerful tool that helps to address emotional challenges. It can teach clients positive techniques for coping with stressful life situations. I also utilize it to resolve relationship conflicts and overcome emotional trauma related to abuse or neglect.
