Hi, I’m Rose Browne, a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes meaningful healing begins when you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, personality disorders, and relationship challenges. Life comes with many obstacles. The goal is to enhance one’s coping skills by focusing on one’s strengths and reflect on our emotions. We cannot change certain life events or people’s behaviors however, we can work on our social emotional intelligence and strengthen our self-esteem as part of life’s journey. There are no quick fixes to therapy as it is a process.
I help children and adults navigate life’s challenges by targeting short and long term goals with clear measurable objectives. Mental health is similar to physical health which is part of our overall health. Mental health targets our brain health which drives us. I will provide support and a safe space to address your life’s challenges.

Hello there! I’m Dr. Emily Rose Penna, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist passionate about helping individuals of all ages navigate life’s challenges. Whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, or work-related stress, I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can feel truly seen and supported. I believe in “doing the work” alongside my clients - leading with honesty, curiosity, and a deep commitment to healing. Together, we’ll explore what’s been bothering you, clarify your goals, and build a path toward meaningful growth. On a personal note, I am told that I am a warm, nature-loving clinical psychologist who proudly embraces her “hippie therapist” identity - I am often found happily roller-skating to 70’s music or crafting creative projects. I try to bring that same free-spirited, grounded energy into all of my work, inspiring others to reconnect with themselves, cultivate inner peace, and live in greater harmony with both their values, nature, and the planet.
I have been a clinician for approximately 20 years, I love what I do and have a passion for assisting people with addressing issues and bettering lives. I have 2 specialties in Forensices and Addictions, I am certified in clincial hypnotherapy and finishing my certification in EMDR, all of which I am able to do as through telehealth. I previous experience in family therapy and couples counseling. I look forward to building our theraputic relationship.
I have found that describing myself had never been a skill I have mastered throughout my years of experience. It just feels awkward, so I embrace the awkward. I would say that is how I approach the therapeutic relationship as well. I laugh at the absurd and try to make the awkwardness a friend. I name it so we can work with it in an authentic nonjudgemental manner. I always ask my clients to give therapy a chance and the therapist a chance as well. I say move on if by session three you are not "feeling it" with the therapist. It is okay if you don't like me as a therapist. This is your journey and I am your guide. The journey needs to be with someone who you connect with.

I think it is important for a therapist to be able to implement multiple approaches to the therapy process in order to best serve a client. I do predominantly utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches, but I may modify the approach to best meet your needs and goals. My main focus is helping you make progress and meet your identified goals.
I initially was drawn to being a therapist because I wanted to help others meet life's challenges and understand that sometimes we need a partner/support on that journey. I have worked with many different populations over the course of my career, including children, teens, adults, and seniors. Additionally, I have experience working in many different settings, including community mental health, inpatient mental health units, juvenile justice, nursing homes, and adult corrections. I believe these varied experiences and populations have helped to make me a well-rounded therapist.
I am so grateful that you are here and made it to this first step. Have the events, losses, stress, demands and relationships in life led you down a path where your light has dimmed? Has your work / life balance become so undefined that you no longer have the motivation you used to? I provide a warm, empathetic and healing relationship where you feel comfortable to explore your journey to achieving greater emotional wellness.
Above all else, we are human beings and can naturally relate to each other when provided with the safe space to do so. My unique background supporting clients both in the corporate world as well as inpatient clinical setting allow me to form strong alliances with a wide range of individuals. Having the ability to make one feel heard, understood and valued is a particular strength and one that gives me great purpose. I specialize in supporting adults, young and older, struggling with stress (work related or personal), anxiety, depression, addictions and unhealthy relationships. I also assist with healing from grief and loss, traumatic experiences, and life transitions.
Through a process of providing you with opportunities to improve self confidence, make lifestyle adjustments, and find acceptance, you are able to discover inner serenity and resiliency. We will peel away the layers that no longer serve you.
