What stops you from leading a happy, productive life? What causes you stress, anxiety and depression? I believe the answer to living a happy successful life rests in our relationship with ourselves and the people we choose to interact with on a daily basis. Self awareness is the key cornerstone to emotional intelligence. I earned my Masters in Social Work from Columbia University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, practicing in the state of Florida. I am a member of The National Association of Social Workers and received postgraduate certificates as a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. As a client-centered clinician for more than 15 years, I provide individual, couples and family counseling utilizing a variety of modalities and techniques tailored to the individual's needs to help attain the personal growth their striving for. My treatment specialties include, but are not limited to depression, anxiety, mood/personality disorders, family dysfunction, low self-esteem, codependency, trauma, addiction and recovery (ACOA), conflict resolution, and phases of life issues for adults 18+. Treatment services are offered entirely through telehealth, giving us the flexibility to connect conveniently and safely. I am currently accepting new clients and look forward to meeting you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with a quick introduction, and then dive into the specific challenges you might be facing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

There are a variety of adverse childhood experiences that can lead to complex trauma. I believe that our childhood trauma and family dysfunction has a direct impact on our internalized thoughts and beliefs, our emotions and behaviors, and ultimately, our overall physical and mental well-being. I believe that chronic exposure to these childhood adverse experiences have created an ongoing "survival" affect that we mistakenly brought into our adulthood and into our adult relationships with family and friends. These internalized mistaken negative beliefs are at the root of our own daily dysfunctions and self sabotaging behaviors and prevent us from maturing mentally and emotionally into our True Self, the version we all want to be, but have no idea how to achieve such greatness!

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I focus on cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma focused therapy with my clients, which helps people identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors to better manage problems in their lives and better understand the root causes of distress.
